If you are wondering why the MSM(FOX, CNN, MSNBC) are not talking about this then look no further than Trump the main talking point and the 2020 election candidates coming out. That is what they want to cover. But there is plenty of news coming from Venezuela.
I shall give a pointer on how to find said news. And this works for anything you can think of. Me I use google, Type a country, person of interest or anything then hit the news tab. Then bam you get news related to that subject and even a time stamp of how old it is.

And yet you still side step. Was Maduro recently elected in fair and free elections?

You keep claiming the western media is helping things, they are barely even reporting on it.

Venezuela is in bad shape, mainly done by the regime in power. Yes the US doesn't like them and hasn't helped Maduro, but is Justin Trudeau also doing that? Is the EU doing that as well?

Face the facts, the Chavez's dream died with him. It's been on life support since and hasn't done itself any favors.

Are you denying there are huge issues wrong in Venezuela? Has Maduro done nothing wrong? Or is it all America's fault?

Gee, for something not getting any news exposure, there sure is a whole lot of people around where I live fully aware of what's going on. Not to mention they're pretty pissed at the possibility of invading Venezuela that's been kicked around for the past 6+ months.

Just look at the US National media outlets.

Hardly anything.

Your circle might be different, but it's not even on most Americans radar.

Did you even look? Either you flat haven't, or you're being deliberately disingenuous.

Front page on ABC News, top left, second story down: "Opposition leader urges military to abandon Maduro"

Front page of CBS News, down at the bottom under the "World" category on thr right: "Venezuelan opposition holds rally amid first major army defection"

Front page of NBC News, about halfway down on the right in the World news section: "Venezuelans protest around the world to pressure Maduro to step down"

Front page of CNN, middle "Today in politics" column: "Trump says use of military force in Venezuela is still on the table"

Front page of MSNBC, 4th row down: "Thousands of anti-Maduro protesters gather in Florida"

Front page of Fox News --- actually, not a peep out of Rightwing News USA. Not one shred of a mention on their front page.

Did I miss any major US TV news outlets? Only one didn't have so much as a slight mention on their front page of Venezuela. And it wasn't the ones insinuated. Click those links I provided and have a gander.

See poster below you, there is plenty coverage from Venezuela, either you're being dishonest or you're trolling

I don't know if Venezuelan elections were fair and free, I doubt you do either, but you have to understand the mechanics of the Western media in order to understand why they would claim they weren't fair and free, the US wants the oil, it certainly does not care for the welfare of Venezuelans

if you think the US will help Venezuela in any way, shape or form, then you must have totally ignored history lessons

Why should the US help them?

They voted for this garbage they can dig themselves out.

the US wants the oil,

This is demonstrably false.

Venezuela has low-grade, expensive to extract, crude.

We have massive reserves, off-shore drilling, and successful fracking.

Yes I do look thank you. I just now followed your own links. CNN has nothing on their front Web page, neither does NBC.

It's not a story American Media is really caring and following. You can say they are but they are more into the sensationalism. We care more about a yearbook or a Washington protest.

Here is ABC'S article on Venezuela

Venezuelan opposition targeted by internet censors

I'm looking on mobile for all of these. Not much there, you have to dig to find.

Fortunately, FOX has pretty consistent reporting on it.

Venezuela is in it's death throes...and Socialism has brought it to that point.

The expense of extraction is only meaningful dependent on world supplies, if they run low then the cost of extraction will be met, the only thing you demonstrate here, is nothing

I'll give you that CNN's front page isn't showing it anymore, along with numerous other articles that cycled off the front page. I don't read CNN and don't know their formula for cycling stuff on and off the front page, so I don't know what to tell ya.

However, it's definitely still on NBC's front page. Here's a screen grab. With an arrow, in case you miss it twice somehow.

16 finger swipes down on CNN, that's not very prominent.

That's my point. It's not a big deal to media here. Hell, El Chapo's underaged sex slaves are a bigger draw.

It's not a story the media is driving see the coverage on the Virginia Governer for an example.

I'm looking on mobile and from what I see of your screen shot that looks like a pc. Maybe that is part of it.

It's a deserving story of more press coverage regardless of your side on it.

Probably. I refuse to read news on my phone, it sucks donkey balls by default due to such a small screen size and the layout is very limited. And also sucks due to cutting down what you see for "ease of swiping". They might as well rename it "Mobile Footnotes News".

For sure. But desktop sites are full of click bait ads too. Not much better. They all suck for getting good information.

Maduro Regime

Actually the officially elected leader of Venezuela, and if you look hard enough, you'll find plenty of footage of his supporters out and about in Venezuela

In free and fair elections?

To deny that there is a real struggle going on there is to deny reality.

There is a very real struggle going in Venezuela, it's the fight against US imperialism

How is eating zoo animals fighting US imperialism?
Why does Chile not suffer from this imperialism?
They have more cleaner oil than Venezuela after all...

To me it seemes like the state of Venezuela failed it's citizens when it promised them a socialist utopia. Now they are uprisings against the establishment. Your animosity towards capitalism doesn't change the fact that socialism has failed these people... Among millions of others.

In Venezuela a Washington stooge, Juan Guaidó, who has never been a candidate in any election for president has declared himself president of Venezuela and has sworn himself in with the support of the US government and the CIA controlled countries of Latin America. So far the Venezuelan military has stood by the elected president Maduro, but Washington is busy at work buying up the Venezuelan military.

Elliott Abrams appointed by Trump to oversee the US coup against Venezuela “backed death squads in Latin America that murdered 1000s for right-wing dictators, lied to congress to cover up treasonous Iran-Contra affair, led 2002 US coup attemmpt in Venezuela. Still think this is about democracy & human rights?”

Elliott Abrams was Assistant Secretary of State for Human Rights and Assistant Secretary of State for Inter-American Affairs in the Reagan administration. He was convicted of misleading Congress about the Iran-Contra affair but was pardoned by President George H.W. Bush.

In the George W. Bush regime Abrams was Deputy National Security Advisor for Global Democracy Strategy. Trump has now returned Abrams to the scene of his crimes. “Global Democracy Strategy” is the euphemism for US hegemony. It means the overthrow of governments that stand in the way of US interests whether private or government.
