Good points. The statistics are plain as day. Both Democrats and Republicans have avoided comprehensive "Immigration Reform" for many years. Reform would cut in to the $$$ that senior leaders are getting "under the table" from criminal organizations.

According to the documents, obtained by Judicial Watch through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), the Speaker’s military travel cost the United States Air Force $2,100,744.59 over a two-year period — $101,429.14 of which was for in-flight expenses, including food and alcohol.

In 2013, every Democrat in the house (all 192 of them) voted in favor of the bill. Despite that, Republican speaker of the house, John Boehner did not act on the bill, and it expired at the end of the 113th Congress.

So, which party supports increased border security and which has prevented it?

It doesn't indicate that at all. Especially because that particular escalation in violence is not spreading into the US.

Nor can the US legally do anything about what occurs in another country. You can't claim that they are abusing the sovereignty of the US by abusing their sovereignty.

Since Democrats are against using physical border barriers to protect U.S. citizens, the next logical step will be for them to push for having the existing walls/fences removed!

Democrats in Congress were elected to serve the public...all the public. The dangers coming into our country from the south, hurt everyone, including those who voted for Democrats.

Democrats want to Impeach President Trump, simply because they don't like him.

No, to impeach requires that a President has been convicted of treason, bribery or other high crimes and misdemeanors. All these convictions would have to be obtained in a court of law under the jurisdiction of the High Court with the consequent evidential proof and trial by a jury.

At this present time, no-one has approached the House Judiciary Committee even for inquiry into impeachment.

But Republicans/DOJ have legitimate reasons for removing Democrat leaders Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer from their respective positions. Those two are working hard to keep our families vulnerable to dangers from Mexico, and even increase our exposure, if they're able to remove existing physical barriers.

It was divulged today that Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, Dick Durbin, Elijah Cummings, and Shelia Jackson Lee, voted against the Justice/Prison reform bill, because they wanted to hurt Trump more than they wanted to help those who received unfair jail sentences.

No it didn't include provision for a wall, probably because of the 2006 bill that granted nearly 700 miles of secure barriers and fencing along the southern border at vulnerable locations, an initiative that Trump claims he "restarted", even though it never stopped.

Now, of course, we have Trump back-pedaling and saying that he only wanted a wall at vulnerable locations, not "sea to shining sea". So far that's 'not concrete', not 'paid for by Mexico', not '55 feet high' and 'not complete'.

The "Plan" was to make the public **THINK** they were securing the border and stopping criminal activity.

Still dont see why the Democrats dont just agree to the funding let Trump build it and watch it fail, and then use it against him in the election.

Only reason is they know it would work enough that he could call it a success, thats one reason they dont want to fund it or at least is was at the beginning. But think how stupid they will look if he builds it with emergency declaration,and its successful then.

Step by step. I heard someone on one of the programs today talking about the multi-layers of the immigration problem and how we need to take things step by step.

Everybody remember what happened to Ronald Reagan when he gave congress what they wanted with the promise they would pass comprehensive measures to secure the border. Ha!! 3 million illegal aliens got amnesty....then nothing of any consequence for border security.

Now, there are over 25,000,000 illegal aliens here.....once again.

Mexico can be an extremely violent place and has its fair share of morally challenged citizens. Its crazy that our government turns a blind eye to whats really going on in Mexico. The hangings, mass graves, beheadings, busloads of kids being murdered, bags of body parts, people getting machine gunned down outside of high end resorts in broad daylight, etc.....is business as usual in some areas. The cartels own and run Mexico. Government officials not on the take don't last to long, if they even make it to their first day in office.

The Dem's appear to be ignoring all of this in order to increase their voter base. They're literally willing to sell this country out for their own self serving agenda/power. What's even crazier though, is that half the country seems to think it's a good idea. Scary stuff when you start dissecting it.

Regan was President from 1981 until 1989. Have a look at staffing levels for border security. Do you imagine that none of them get paid? Also compare the Southwest agents numbers compared to the rest. Border Patrol Agent Nationwide Staffing by Fiscal Year - US Customs and Border Security

Not true. Depends on who does the estimating, most have put the real number at around 20 million.
