Sacha Baron Cohen Notified FBI of Possible Pedophile Ring While Filming TV Series

During the interview, Gio told the concierge that he had molested an 8-year-old boy, and Baron Cohen expected the concierge to immediately leave the room. But to his surprise, he did not. The comedian then asked the concierge to help him “get rid of the problem,” and the man began to give Gio some advice.

“We even at one point talk about murdering the boy, and the concierge is just saying, ‘well, listen, I’m really sorry. In this country, we can’t just drown the boy. This is America we don’t do that.’ And then, in the end, he puts me in touch with a lawyer who can silence the boy,” said Baron Cohen.

Then Gio asked, “Can you get me a date for tonight?”

Cohen then said, “[The hotel concierge] says, ‘what do you mean, a date?’ I go, you know, like a young man. He says, ‘well, what kind of age?’ I say, lower than Bar Mitzvah but older than eight. And he says, ‘yeah, I can put you in touch with somebody who can get you some boys like that.'”

Baron Cohen said it was “fascinating” from a journalistic standpoint, but the scene was “so extreme and so dark that it was too unsettling for the audience.”

“We immediately turned over the footage to the FBI because we thought, perhaps there’s a pedophile ring in Las Vegas that’s operating for these very wealthy men,” he said. “And this concierge had said that he’d worked for politicians and various billionaires.”

Baron Cohen rightly decided that the footage was “too dark and wrong” to air, and handed it over to the FBI. But investigators apparently told him they’d decided not to follow up.

Could it be possible that the concierge was already working with the FBI ? If so, they likely did not want to out their source informant.

I'd guess that where there is money, there is someone willing to sell you whatever you want. Stings like this, should be done regularly. And make examples out of those caught. Like public torture. Sorry, no love for anyone who would hurt a child.

They should have done about 150 episodes worth of interviews before airing it and revealing his characters.

I think we should be above torture. These are sick people with warped minds. They should simply be quickly put to death. We should not be advocating for torture on any level.

You can't become a better person (or better society) by becoming the thing you are turning away from.

Trump was never on the island either like the Clintons were.

We know through Q that Trump was basically doing undercover work, collecting intelligence, for The Plan, so, these kind of associations shouldn't surprise nor dismay us. He ventured into the belly of the beast at his own risk and came back with the keys to the kingdom to set us all free, sacrificing his golden years to thank America for giving him such a good life and opportunities. He is a hero.

My partner and I had this very discussion last night, stirred by an episode of Black Mirror.

She was for it, which is so far removed from her usual nature, it came as a shock to me.

I completely understand her feeling that way, but I can't advocate that.

She believed it worth the price to lose part of ourselves, because there's bad people. She is emotionally attached and was unable to vocalise what she felt.

I understand how she felt, but she just couldn't process the knock-on effect of that. It came down to whether revenge was synonymous with justice.

She's right, in a way. But, I don't accept it as being the right way forward.
