It's difficult for me to comprehend how so many of our leaders put profits and deals ahead of the lives of our brave soldiers, sailors, and airmen.

It's also disgusting how so many leaders are O.K. with Americans being killed by people and drugs coming in from Mexico.

I don't know how any of those people can sleep at night. Particularly because those who die, are their relatives, neighbors, etc.. The world would be a better place if they simply "disappeared".

Absolutely! I been hoping from day 1 that somewhere in the Trump Wall Plan is funding for GPR surveillance which can now be done using UAVs & Drones. Have those buzz up and down the border; all GPS tagged and able to send alert messages to overwatch -- similar to cell tower intra communications.
I wouldn't be surprised if the technology exists to do it from space - military SATs.

I wouldn't get that hopey, but it would be nice if there was a little bit of mutual respect driving toward a common good.

The reason I referenced Putin as just leading Team Russia alludes to the way I view countries like a business entity, or a sports team. A business can play by the rules and be in direct competition in a market without seeing the other side as an enemy. In fact, the competition is a requirement for technological advancement.

For example, if Apple crushed all other smartphone manufacturers and they all went out of business, how much better would the iPhone be in 5 or 10 years form now? The improvements might be incremental, but I'd wager that there would be little, if any difference in the performance, screen resolution, storage capacity, etc. The driving force for change is the competition between smartphone manufacturers.

Likewise, if countries the world over melded into one big government, or the big five all adopted the same policies and practices of governance, I think the world would deteriorate into a very dark and stagnant mediocrity. The jockeying for position is good. The compare and contrast is good. The technological one-upmanship for the bragging rights of the country are good, and it can be done without declaring citizens of another country the enemy through solid leadership that sees enemy states as competitors, rather than enemies.

WhatsApp chat groups are being used to spread illegal child pornography, cloaked by the app’s end-to-end encryption. Without the necessary number of human moderators, the disturbing content is slipping by WhatsApp’s automated systems. A report from two Israeli NGOs reviewed by TechCrunch details how third-party apps for discovering WhatsApp groups include “Adult” sections that offer invite links to join rings of users trading images of child exploitation. TechCrunch has reviewed materials showing many of these groups are currently active.

TechCrunch’s investigation shows that Facebook could do more to police WhatsApp and remove this kind of content. Even without technical solutions that would require a weakening of encryption, WhatsApp’s moderators should have been able to find these groups and put a stop to them. Groups with names like “child porn only no adv” and “child porn xvideos” found on the group discovery app “Group Links For Whats” by Lisa Studio don’t even attempt to hide their nature. Maybe I'm wrong but I remember the "thing" was that civilians could now be judged by military tribunals. In other words, those cabal members who could get away with things, in normal courts, could now be brought to justice.

Like XAX said earlier, why is a military coup now seen like a good thing? Because that is what this would end up being.
