I actually made some soup earlier, but it was a spicy parsnip one. Very warming in this wintry weather!
Not sure if it helps with colds & flu etc as well as chicken soup would.... worth a try maybe?

Can I have some too, please, parsnip sounds so good. My "thing" is on day eight and not relenting. Well a little I can talk now, kind of, in a hoarse whisper and I am a little bit more social.

I miss celeriac, which is very rare in the states, not to be confused with the ever present celery, that had virtually none of the beneficial properties of celeriac; and lacks the very strong spicy flavor.

Soup for Night and me please.

I am consuming, garlic, turmeric, onions, veggies, hot pepper.

I don't like parsnip. It tastes like a carrot on acid but I can appreciate that other people appreciate them. They have celeriac here in NL. I've never dared try it... Cumin would also be a beneficial spice to add to your mix.

ETA And freshly ground black pepper to taste. Piperine.

Thanks Light, you made me laugh, you are so "kosher" in your eating habits. I have cumin and use it, I have everything but it isn't kicking in.
Noticed you had a haircut, isn't that cold now? Must retreat to slumber land.

Hair cut? Not me! I got my tangle out. No cutting, just a bit of pulling. And ok, a very small amount of scalp pain... It's gone!

Hey Night and WIS...thank you for your concern...I'm still around.
Yesterday was my birthday and it was a lonely miserable day mostly but my riend Tracy did stop by later to see me and stop my pity party. I have also been sick like some of you for a couple of days so haven't felt up to posting anything.

Thank you for your concern and love...I will come back tomorrow to see everyone.
