Pantex Plant emergency: US nuclear weapons facility 'experiences operational emergency'

A US nuclear weapons facility has reported it is 'experiencing an operational emergency'.

Pantex Plant in Amarillo, Texas, tweeted: "The Pantex Plant is experiencing an operational emergency. The Emergency Response Organization has been activated."

They later added: "Precautions are being taken due to a security event.

Carson County Sheriff Department is reporting that FM 2373 is closed from I-40 north.

Officials are also reporting the east side of the Pantex Plant is completely inaccessible.

So hopefully all resolved now.
Would be interesting to know what was up.

There was a suspicious vehicle close by(the administrative building parking lot). They(Amarillo PD) inspected the vehicle...no prohibited items(explosives) were found. All clear.

Are you saying the Sherriff is two people or the department? From what I’m seeing neither is the case...
