It is. I find it sleazy to obfuscate your party affiliation.

I have seen numerous TV ads, bumper stickers, and photos, not one mention of Democrat and the word Republican is used multiple times.

Ok, I'm not saying you haven't. Politicians are politicians. My point remains: Is someone seriously going to vote only because of a sign/sticker/TV ad and not do any single form of research as to what the person's platform is? That's terrifying.

Bottom line, his party information is readily available. It isn't like he's preventing people from figuring out what he represents.

That's the average voter.

You can find his affiliation if you search for it, yes. But he makes you search.

Trick question? You are asking the party of the picture of the man in the picture?

The fact that this is even an issue for you means you're already blowing it out of proportion.

A one line OP about a guy who doesnt put his party affiliation in his ads.

OH NOO HOW WILL WE SURVIVE THIS ATROCITY....

Google him.

Ita not like he's wearing a lucha libre mask and won't tell us his name or affiliation and won't discuss any of his stances... it's all right there...maybe you're just upset that you actually have to do the tiniest bit of research...

And maybe if it tricks some ignorant tards into voting for the wrong party, they will come to recognize the error of their ways and actually research the damn candidates next time.

Yes, the guy in the picture, what party is he running for just based on that photo.

It's a symptom of the deceit our elected officials show on a daily basis.

Based on all the red in the logo (virtue signalling that he's really one of you *wink, wink*) and the good wife who appears to be pregnant showing the wholesome family values (also virtue signalling that he's really one of you *wink, wink*) while also sporting that subtle blue Obama style look to his logo, I am guessing Democrat in a more conservative district.

He's sort of like the viceroy butterfly pretending to be monarch.

All of this background noise aside, we're 4 pages in and the only question that matters hasn't even been asked yet...
"What is Joe Cunningham running on?"
From his web page, he's anti off-shore drilling, ge wants the ACA "fixed" by adding even more government price controls into the mix, he's anti tariff, he's one of those AGW alarmists, he opposes voter identification laws to protect our Democracy, he's one of those "get government out of WOMEN'S health issues, expect for those tax payer funds, gotta keep that involvement flowing freely" guys, he supports the brand of equal protection that passes laws which provide special protections for some (the definitive opposite of 'equal protection'), and he's another one of those "common sense" restrictions on the 2nd Amendment idiots.

There's a hell of a lot here to criticize beyond which party he does or does not celebrate his betrothal to.

Preach. That's my point in my previous posts. Who cares who he's running for, what's he running on? That's the important question. More politicians should do this, stop focusing on party, focus on issues.

Quite agree.

He lied about being an ocean engineer, and when it was discovered, his campaign likely (not proven) spread false rumors his opponent lied about surviving breast cancer (she did survive it).

Good. Then he's challenging the average voter to do just an infinitesimally small amount of legwork in order to understand what they're voting for. That is 100% a good thing.

No he is not. He is banking they won't do the legwork.

As a matter of fact, running through his stances... the only thing I like about this guy is the fact that you dont see his party affiliation in his ads.......... (and his wife)

"His woman is holding her hands in a manner which may indicate she's with child, so the virility would point towards either a Republican man or, possibly, a sympathetic Democrat male willing to raise another's seed."

That's so funny - you can't make this stuff up - it just happens!

So voter's will go to the polls and vote for him thinking he's an R?

I don't know about his state, but in mine (Wisconsin) the person running has their party affiliation on the ballot.

It will show:

Joe Schmo (Rebuplican)
Jon Doe (Democrat)
Indy Pendant (no affiliation)

I get why someone running for office in SC would not want to specifically mention they are a D, but as noted above I don't see anything deceptive about it.

Democrat or Democrat Socialist

Then they are in the wrong, not him. He isn't being deceptive, anyone can easily find his party. If someone is dumb enough to vote for a politician just because of the color he uses in his ads or what his stickers look like, then that's 100% on them, not him.

Besides, even if they don't do the legwork, does SC not have party affiliation on their ballots? Where I live, it lists which party they represent right beside their name on the ballot.

Come to think of it, 90% of Trump's campaign signs are blue, rather than red. Does that mean he was being deceptive to make people think he was a Democrat?

I should clarify, I'm not defending this politician's political stances in any way, I know nothing of his platform, and I could care less about which party he represents. I just think this whole thing is faux-outrage.
