I can guess this by deductive reasoning.

The OP is clearly a Republican.
He is making fun of the candidate.

He would not make fun of a republican.

Therefore, the candidate is a democrat.

Simple.

Blue is a calming, peace inducing color. Red tends to be seen as a more inflammatory, anger inciting hue. (Not saying I necessarily buy into color theory, but this is what the "experts" claim about the two colors.) To that end, it would make sens that incumbents, particularly incumbents who feel their seat may be tenuous and anyone running while trying to "sooth" voters over to their side is going to feature more blue than red on their propaganda. Conversely, anyone depending on rage and anger, such as those hoping to oust an incumbent via populist angst over said incumbent's track record, would likely use propaganda that is more in the red spectrum to subconsciously fire up their voter base.

At least that's how that theory is supposed to go... in reality, it's just as likely that the ratios of red to blue are chosen purely to offset the ratios chosen by the first opponent to come out with propaganda signs and bumper stickers.

His logo says Democrat. It is Obamaesque. It attempts to depict a blue wave rising.

He should fire his ad agency, because rather than a blue wave rising, a red tsunami is squashing it.
