I just found out why I haven't heard from oldest step-daughter since her phone call in May telling me that he had cancer.

It ended up being quite an aggressive cancer and she died in June.

Slept a lot today, but it was a good sleep.

I vote for Scully for the name of the kitty.

Tomorrow will be a busy day for me with a Doctors appointment, lunch, bank, picking up prescriptions and groceries. I'll be wiped out when I get home probably.

Missed you guys earlier.

I see some of you have had snow lately. Ugh! It's pretty, but it gets dangerous for Mark and I when we have to go out.

It's always beautiful and safe here in Accasia though.

OMG Blue, I'm so sorry to hear this. Damned cancer! That is one reason that every appointment scares the hell out of me...the fear that it will return or that they will find some other God awful thing.

I appreciate that...I guess I am trying to get on with things. I'd like to think so.

But lately I watch the squirrels scurrying around, gathering nuts and filling their nests for winter...and I wonder if it's just my native Canadian instinct to start scurrying around too...? Like the squirrel perhaps I'm programmed to prepare for the coming winter?

While I'd rather be a pheonix...I think I'm a squirrel.

Me too. They are so long, grey and dreary and dangerous. Mark and I have to be extra careful not to slip and fall.

I understand...I have to be careful too...one bad fall could paralyze me, so I was told.

Lol, I love squirrels actually. (And they're totally cool!)

I want to buy a big bag of peanuts to feed the ones around my patio/smoking area.
I see them running around with walnuts but I'm sure they wouldn't mind some free peanuts.
