It might be tough for them to do that even in the House. Suburban women have dropped off in Dem support. They're only trending at +1 with them now.

The really big deal is that the Republican-leaning base is energized over the Kavanaugh treatment. That is negating much of that blue wave that has been predicted. The ire seems to be (properly) aimed at the Senate, but the side effect is that those who decide to turn out for the Senate vote will also be turning out for the House vote... there's only one ballot. I'm not sure if these polls are reflecting that.

Sounds like whether I like it or not he tends to be right.

The ruling was later upheld by the Supreme Court

One case? Also which case? Was it up held by a 5v4 conservative majority? You cant just say "see this one case other agreed with him there for all over cases he did correctly."

Great show me the cases the supreme Court disagreed with. What percentage of his rulings were over turned by the supreme Court.

Understand when you wade through Circuit Court rulings that just because a DC Circuit Court ruling might have been overturned doesn't necessarily mean that Kavanaugh had anything to do with the case, too. Circuit court cases are heard by a panel of three judged drawn at random from the pool of justices.

Susan Collins speaking on the floor now.

So far, she is sounding like a Yes. Lots of criticism for the Dems.

pjmedia.com...

If this is true, no wonder the Democrats were mad.

Sounds like she's trying to pull some Democrats over and solidify Republicans.

But she still hasn't reached the point of talking about last Thursday yet. That's what Democrats are so angry about.. the Kavanaugh anger.

I think she said she was looking more at the record as opposed to one's personal life. I believe that is what she is going to go with. I could be wrong.

And making it sound like only a fool would vote against this eminently qualified candidate.

And making the liberal media look like fools too, for supporting all those fake allegations.

She is a yes.

Sounds quite reasonable in doing so.

Its a shame that protestors yelled at her when she first started

Hopefully she can pull Lisa Murkowski back into the yes column.

The Senate and House should publish who was accused of sexual assault and had our taxpayer dollars pay off the accuser. They have a list but it's top secret.
