Allow me to specify, I was probably to vague.

If Kavanaugh says “yes, I consent to an FBI investigation”, does that somehow spark an actual investigation? Or does that give the democrats more leverage for their stall tactic?

I just see them pressing hard for him to consent to that specific thing. I don’t see how it would initiate an investigation the FBI has already said they aren’t going to initiate.
