If any of the anecdotes are true, there is good cause for fear. Nothing that has been released so far is in any way contrary to Trump's observed behaviors. I looked up libel. It says nothing about intent which would be pretty hard to prove. It says when someone is damaged by a published statement.

So if you can site law where intention falls into the equation please do so. I am not a lawyer and I'm open to the education.
