I can not remember a time when the Secretary of Defense,
a General of The United States Central Command
issued a statement like this, then again I can't
recall a time when it was necessary.

General Mattis just literally called Bob Woodward a liar,
and put the MSM on notice.

Living up to his "Mad Dog" nickname, General Mattis released an unfiltered statement on Tuesday afternoon denying the accusations and slamming Woodward for his "uniquely Washington brand of literature."

www.dailywire.com...

Statement issued by General Mattis

"The contemptuous words about the President attributed to me in Woodward's book were never uttered by me or in my presence," says the general's statement. "While I generally enjoy reading fiction, this is a uniquely Washington brand of literature, and his anonymous sources do not lend credibility."

Following that, Secretary John Kelly issued his own
statement in defense of President Trump.

So indeed, it looks like Woodward's book is just a work of Democratic Fiction.
He could just be capitalizing on the moment to make some cash, or he
could indeed be a Dem operative under shredded cover. Either way....

And the fake news msm media wonders why people don't trust them?
They stop short of being propaganda outlets only because as far as we
know it is not State Sanctioned....or is it?

I'd trust Gen. Mattis over pretty much anyone ever in Washington.

Maybe they do a coupon when you buy the book or give to a charity dealing in butt-hurt leftists. I will guarantee that it'll make the NYT best sellers list if leftists have to mortgage their homes and buy every copy.

FIRST Bernstein gets called out as a liar (CNN/Lanny Davis)...and now Woodward (Mattis/Kelly).
Maybe they're getting 'deep-throated' by the same source.

Of course Mattis is going to deny he said Trump was a fifth grader

Trump was already getting tired of Mattis

Mattis is out of the loop and Trump doesn't listen to him, say officials

link

Mattis is afraid for his job. He is so scared of Trumps insanity he feels he has to do anything to keep his job just to control the madman

This whole book is Woodward trying, desperately, to be relevant again. He may end up being relevant again, not for bringing down Trump, but for becoming a laughing stock, a fraud, and destroying what credibility he and the media who promote him have left.

Mattis and Kelly have a great deal of respect for President Trump. Not only have they said this on multiple occasions, but when they are in his presence, you can see it in their demeanor. Pompeo is another one that thinks very highly of this president and never misses a chance to set people straight about it.

Fake news media is the enemy.

Article is several months old, not to mention liberal propaganda and leftist feed, how's that click bait taste?

You got nothing and it totes refutes everything in another slanderous hit piece book.

Man, you ever get tired of failing and losing?

Thanks for showing you have no amount of knowledge regarding the man, to the best of my knowledge he has told it as he sees it his entire adult life. It is one of the reasons he was beloved by so many troops, as a general officer they knew he would speak the truth.

Indeed, and I have even more respect for him now and he didn't
even blink in issuing this statement.

Something tells me this wont make the broadcasts anytime soon,
if at all. People will be out there buying a yellow rag wasting
their money supporting the Fascists in power.

Sad thing is: 'They' had to do it.

Time for the tar. Time for the feathers.

Chief of staff, General JOHN KELLY, said essentially the same thing as Mattis.

Those who believe Woodward's book, are guilty of "We're too insecure to quit our miserable jobs even though we hate our boss.", therefore Kelly and Mattis must be too.

Yeah, seems to mean what he says and obviously has respect for POTUS and their combined accomplishments:

What a lying loser Woodward has turned out to be---he and CNN were made for each other.

It’ll be interesting to see these loyalty pledges that Trump is so fond of after all is said and done.

Especially when comparing them to the words and actions of people like Mattis and whoever else the administration tries to use as a shield.

Woodward is so ancient, he doesn't realize that Donald Trump decided to run for President at the behest of certain military leaders.
