yesterday I ran across an article announcing the sentencing of Richard Preston, the KKK member that shot the gun towards a crowd of people was sentenced to 8 years in prison with 4 of them suspended.

*snip*

Jacob Goodwin was sentenced to 10 years in prison with two years suspended along with five years probation after his release.

Alex Ramos was sentenced to 6 years in prison.

So you get more time for beating someone rather than shooting at them? That's insane.

I will not offer a defense of an asshole who discharged a weapon carelessly into a group of people.

I will, it called being an ignorant person with no regard for others.

Is it a good defense - not even close.

So the debate turned to 'are they dems or repub?

Because this is what you do now. Defend your territory with disclaimers and idiocy. I doubt there's even been a serious study on this. Certainly no one who makes a claim has posted valid evidence. Merely opinions.

I would only assume they are too stupid to vote in the first place. I mean, you have to know how to read, yes?

God.

This being a conspiracy site I will go ahead and say it - the whole event seemed like a psy-op to me. First you have Kessler who was an Obama supporter organizing it. Then the C'ville mayor ordering police to stand down and not get between opposite sides of the protesters. Same went for State Police. Torchlight parade - perfect for Nazi imagery. It played out like a scripted event in many ways. The more you look in to it the stranger it gets. I live close by and that's why I have concerns about it, not because either side stands for much that I believe.

EDIT: Seems this was the jackass who discharged a firearm into a crowd. Disregard above statement, incarceration is justified entirely

wonder if trump will pardon them....

Of course you do.

But as the saying goes, if you do the crime, you do the time. Those idiots got what they earned.

As for Deandre Harris: If you don't walk with a mob of idiots trying to start sh*t with a bunch of dumbass racists, you may not get your own ass beat; if you don't assault someone with a pipe/stick, you may not get your own ass beat.

Regardless if Harris was found not guilty, he absolutely brought on what happened through his own actions.

(no, the title of the video is not mine, so don't attribute its claims to me)

Harris is no saint in this situation, either, and from the video evidence, he should have been convicted as well. Justice isn't always blind...or maybe it's too blind to see what's right in front of it.

The fellow who used a lighter and aerosol to create flame, was not fighting words with flame, he was keeping a violent group of fascists from succeeding in attacking him.

Furthermore, fighting Nazis does not make one a Nazi, whether one did it in uniform on behalf of the allied nations, or whether one does it in a hood and scarf on the streets of a city in the modern era. Again, there is no equivalency, because motivation is important. Fighting to prevent supremacists from achieving their aims, is not supremacist in its nature.

They were walking down the steps and away from him. They were not trying to attack him. He walked up on them and lit his make shift flame thrower and then proceeded to move in closer to them all while other folks behind him were throwing stuff at them. The only one engaging him was a guy trying to knock his flame thrower out of his hands with a flag poll. He approached them as they were walking away, that is clearly not them attacking him.

The guy that doubled back and then discharged his firearm is a complete idiot with zero regard to public safety and is 100% in the wrong and should face all legal ramifications from that.

Watch the video and show me the fascist.

Maybe if the left succeeds at tearing every statue down, owning every television station, controlling social media completely and censoring out dissenters, they can finally save us from fascism!

Oh, wait...

Put it another way, if you try to attack any person with a flamethrower (including a make-shift one) you should expect an equal level of force (deadly force) to be used to prevent your unlawful attack. Whether they are or are not "Nazis" (as you describe - without evidence of course) is immaterial - they have a right to their beliefs, you do *not* have a right to use violence in response to their protected beliefs.

I know you come from the kingdom of the crown, where everyone is a subject of the government and not really free... but you have a lot to learn about America and freedom.

You're wrong. Completely wrong, in fact. There is no excuse for violently attacking others merely for disagreeing with their politics. And you can call them whatever you want, fact is... disgusting socialists/communists are far worse than any "Nazi" since it is the degenerate commies committing all the violence (sorry...99% of the violence... forgot about one single vehicular homicide incident)

Again, I don't expect the likes of you to understand freedom. So perhaps you should take your defense of ANTIFA terrorist thugs elsewhere.

No wonder the Irish can't stand you guys.
Absolutely obnoxious. Not to mention wrong. Totally and completely backwards, misinformed and misguided. Totally, utterly, absolutely backwards.

I can't believe these terrorist supporting radical seditious communists are actually trying to defend an assault with a deadly weapon that occurred over mere petty political differences.

The despicable radical left's hypocrisy knows no boundaries.

Look at the name... should we really expect anything more from him/them? I sure don't.

I think the key take-away is that we have to save ourselves should they ever manage to unlawfully install a non-Republican government as Article 4 Section 4 of the Constitution commands/dictates

I believe that is the entire purpose of our Bill of Rights (specifically the amendments giving us the direct capabilities to oppose tyrants and unlawful bodies of unconstitutional government [which is what any socialist/communist government would be])

Section 4. The United States shall guarantee to every state in this union a republican form of government, and shall protect each of them against invasion; and on application of the legislature, or of the executive (when the legislature cannot be convened) against domestic violence.

The aims of ANTIFA and their enablers are clearly illegal under US law.

Charlottesville supremacists?

You must be referring to the violent leftists that attacked the peaceful statue removal protestors.

That's exactly right

Only one group had the legal right to be there that day: it was not ANTIFA/the left. Socialists/communists make my stomach turn far more than any Nazi ever could (and those guys are pretty bad). But nowhere near as disgusting as the radical left.

I find the difference between this and that thread about the blm folks speaking to the maga bunch rather telling.

Letting someone else speak is the only damn way we learn.
Either they teach us, 9r we teach them.

All this violence to silence, that really is nazism and they are all morons.

Supremacists? Define please.

You mean the American Supremacists? The nationalists?

Or the ultra-minority that showed up in Nazi garb/KKK regalia?

Because lets be clear: America *is* the superior our country. America's people *are* superior to others - look at our accomplishments, victories and international role as "the leader" or "the indispensable." Our stated national goal is "dominance" over all domains of warfare: air, land, sea, space, cyberspace, information AKA "supremacy." As you now have learned, you are misusing the word and intentionally misrepresenting our political movement as well.

But that is not "Supremacists" it is called "nationalism" - something you're trying to misrepresent intentionally.

Nationalism = love for your country and belief in always putting the good of your own country before others. IE: there is only one peice of food left, we make sure it goes to AN AMERICAN vs. being shipped overseas somewhere else. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. It only makes sense. Just because we are better at collecting/using resources, doesn't mean we should tie our own hands for the benefit of other countries. America is for America. Canada is for Canada. Mexico is for Mexico. Russia is for Russia. Germany is for Germany (or should be at least). This isn't some kumbaya hippie festival it is real life and geo politics.

You should stop being dishonest. You should stop attempting to conflate Nationalism/"White" Nationalism (ie: white people who are nationalists....) with "Supremacists" such as Neo-Nazi/KKK. It is patently untrue, and feeds into the left's mass delusions/hysteria/derangement

If you look at the actual UTR Discord, Kessler was pretty hands off when it came to organizing. Instead it was primarily the Nationalist Front that was doing the organizing and showing up. So your conspiracy falls flat.

The UTR rally was organized by numerous neo-Nazi groups and a neo-Confederate group. The people at the rally were known to be primarily supremacists. That's why groups like the Oath Keepers refused to show up.

The people organizing it even encouraged people to bring Confederate flags as opposed to Nazi flags because it would help with convincing people on the fence to join the supremacist movement.
