When I was that age, our school had a smoking section actually approved by the school administration.

Then again, we lived in caves and didn't have running water. . . .

Yeah when I was in school it was the bathroom on the second floor.
We couldn't give them a room to smoke in so they just poisoned the rest of us instead.

Porn has been around for a long time, but it was controlled to 18+ audience for a long time...and it was demonized by some parts of society and it was extremely taboo...
Now...if you don't watch porn as a young adult, odds are your next sexual experience won't work out because your partner will be confused about your expectations not aligned to porn...

Well personally I don't like vapes, they taste and smell like candy. Taking a Puff off one, even a low nicotine one, feels like taking a haul off a fat cigar. Other people using them doesn't bother me though. Watching kids stand around with them passing them like joints and acting shady is pretty funny...but Meh...there's probably lots of worse things they could be doing.

Sounds like they could chill out a little bit. Glad school is long behind me.

Also I remember in highschool we just had an area slightly off school grounds where people went to smoke....the teachers too...

The amount of smoke that comes from a vaper, is nauseating. I would be shocked if it wasn't worse for you than cigarettes.

Anyway it's just gross. That's all I've got to add.

Cheers.

It's not smoke, it's vapor, hence why they are called vapes (vaporizer).

I would be shocked if it was worse than cigarettes. One of them you are making a small campfire of tobacco and a cocktail of chemicals, and the other is relatively harmless liquid with added flavor and nicotine.

I think there is a lot of ignorance regarding vaping.

Not surprising.

Ummm...I agree...

Some brands contain chemicals including formaldehyde -- often used in building materials -- and another ingredient used in antifreeze that can cause cancer.

Vaping isn't just an innocent flavored vapor...and it's not just noxious...it's obnoxious...

Funny how people react to tobacco and vapes as opposed to pot. It's illegal to smoke tobacco in a car with kids but some people wouldn't bat an eye smoking pot. And the marijuana wax can be used in some cases nowadays, so no telling what people are vaping.

Sure is funny.

All those anti smoking laws also apply to weed.

I've told my daughter to stay away from all drugs and smokes until shes at least 18.
I'm realistic and understand that kids will experiment so I tell her the truth.
Pot probably will not harm you but being caught will. I also told her to wait until shes fully grown to touch anything. Make sure your brain is not stunted while still growing.

It's also funny that some people think that marijuana is so dark, but if it's alcohol they won't bat an eye.

Most effective thing a parent can do.

It can harm you though. It can make people who don't understand the word moderation lose drive and cloud their overall presence.

Usually families have an uncle they can use for a graphic representation.

An article yesterday from CNN

www.cnn.com...

Long and short of it is that independent testing must continue and the FDA must make a ruling .

My personal experience- ex smoker and occasional vapor. Smoking was much more detrimental to me than vaping.

Smoking -
- bronchitis atleast once a year
- make me nauseous every time I had one
- loss of breath
- constant cough
- low motivation to do physical activity
- made me smell like smoke ( hands, clothes, etc)
- $7.00 a pack
-low appetite
- found myself drinking more and just a overall unhealthy approach on daily basis

Vaping
- if I did it too much ( vape equal to smoking one entire cigarette) I wold get a cough but not a deep cough, a tickle in my throat , as they say. Drinking a cup of water resolved it.

Other than that , no other issues for me with vaping. I workout 4 Times a week (boxing, which includes miles of road work weekly) no shortness of breath, no low motivation.

I personally think the vapes are a good thing. They will continue to refine them.

Also personally I think Much of the bad press has come from big tobacco. But I think you will see a change in approach from big tobacco. They will begin making their own vapes especially with the onset of legal marijuana

I am a smoker, a vaper, and may or may not have imbibed other products. I don't drink a lot but I am in agreement with you. As for the laws applying to marijuana, that is just not true. Smoke tobacco in a park get a ticket, smoke a joint on 420, get celebrated.

16 Year olds vaping?
I'd probably addresss the pharmy and heroin problem first.

I did notice an epidemic of these people who drive those cars with the rats who bob their heads to the beat.
They have to show off their car sized cloud at every stoplight.

I did an "omg that was so huge" to a guy in Florida.

It was epic. He turned all red and we bust out laughing and sped away.

Freakin' hipsters, no different than us at that age.

Well, except they do some pretty mild stuff now, then rat themselves out on social media.

People really need to lighten the hell up.
My nephew (16) was caught with vape supplies in his room. A jewel, whatever the hell that is.
His parents are all over him now.

I asked my brother in law what he was on at 16 and he just him hawed around.... uh huh.

His mom was freaking out six months ago when they found out he was watching porn on his phone...... hell I'd worry if he wasnt...

My daughters high school doesn't allow bookbags or purses to be carried between classes anymore either,, the excuse? The vape epidemic!

Really....?

Half of the high school is teenage girls and they can't carry a purse....da fuk.... I told my daughter that all the girl need to wear tampon earrings on tuesdays... tampon tuesdays!

All this bull because kids are not smoking cigarettes.... let that one sink in...

Sorry, I'm just grumpy today..

To be honest he shouldn’t be vaping. But that is better than smoking cigarettes. Vaping can raise your heart rate to a point that you can pass out. It is unregulated and we simply don’t know enough about the affects. My mom got my little sister one when she was only 14. I happened to be in town when she gave it to her and I grabbed that # and broke it. Then explained the dangers to my sister. I knew my mom wouldn’t listen to reason.

I didn't say they should encourage vaping.
I was just saying that everyone has lost perspective of the situation.

Ya you didn’t encourage it in any way. And yes what I did at 16 till my early 20’s makes what is done now like child’s play. BB gun wars, possibly smoking and ingesting things, sneaking out and drinking something commonly called “booze” I believe. Oh and the best one.....racing!

I am partial to just plain air.

Some of the kids I am around vape and it is gross. I see no reason to intentionally addict yourself to a substance like nicotine.

I don’t even drink caffeinated beverages, but people can do what they want. Just don’t foul the air around me.

When you vape you are forcing people around you to vape too.
