It's not smoke, it's vapor, hence why they are called vapes (vaporizer).

I would be shocked if it was worse than cigarettes. One of them you are making a small campfire of tobacco and a cocktail of chemicals, and the other is relatively harmless liquid with added flavor and nicotine.

I think there is a lot of ignorance regarding vaping.

Their really isn't any need to "ween" yourself off cigarettes when it comes to vapes... As long as your using nicotine based juices, theirs obviously not going to be any withdrawal symptoms... So its purely psychological if you can't instantly make the change from cigarettes to vaping.

I was a really heavy smoker for 23 years, from 12 years old, until about 6 months back when the government rose the taxes on cigarettes again, so that they were now over $30 for a pack of 30... That's when I finally said enough is enough! Ordered a vape online and haven't looked back since the day it came in the mail.

I get the 24mg nicotine juices. But I hate all those stupid sweet flavours, so always just stick with the RYE tobacco flavour... Its absolutely awesome, I can toke away all night in my house without stinking it out, no filthy butts or ash to worry about and the best part is a $180 a week habit, is now a $25 a week habit.

Its a no brainer as far as I'm concerned... I really have no idea why anyone would still be smoking those filthy, dirty and way to expensive cigarettes in this day and age.

For sure, it's the habit of it that will be hard to kick. So just the act of vaping will help.

I live in Virginia, Marlboros are as low as 4 dollars for a pack of 20.... kinda hard to quit hahah.

Not from a jewel, which is the preferred device because they're less conspicuous.

I quit "analogs" several years ago, still vape. The addiction to nicotine isn't the big problem with cigarettes, it's the chemical compounds created during combustion. It actually contains an anti-depressant. Science says it's safer to vape than smoke, but we'll see long term.

Because people don´t vape long enough to have some long term results from inhaling a load of chemicals.

We will see in ten, fifteen years what it causes!

I will say this in 2015 while on holiday I got pneumonia from using a vape was very very poorly with it! So no it isn't a case of 'lighten up!'

The doctor in the Greek hospital told me it was to do with the molecule size of the vapour. He said normal cigarette smoke is a lot smaller so is easier for you to absorb it, vapes you have to break them down which is why most people don't take a breath to the bottom of their lungs especially when just starting off as it irritates them.

I can't even be around people vaping now that could be my mind saying back away or a real thing but instantly I start coughing. So while everyone thinks this is a bit of harmless fun.... it isn't!

When I was in High School in the 70's and early 80's we had a Smoking Area outdoors, just outside of the cafeteria. If you were at least in the 9th grade (14 yo) you could smoke cigarettes!

Now I know that times have changed. And we know a lot more about how nicotine affects the body. So, I wouldn't expect to find something like a "Smoking Area." However, this strikes me as being a bit too much effort to put into attempting to eradicate nicotine sources.

Perhaps these overzealous administrators should concentrate more on making the educational system better.

Let's learn together, why would you be shocked if it wasn't worse than catching chemicals, tobacco, and tar on fire and inhaling the aftermath? I'm open minded, hit me.

Do your lungs wheeze? I quit smoking a little over a year ago and I just have a vape at night now after I put the boy to bed, it took maybe 3 months and the wheezing stopped, now my lungs feel like they are back to full capacity, hell i can even run again, swim the length of the pool underwater, all things I couldn't do after smoking cigars for 20 odd years.... Swap it if you can you won't regret it.

This arguement is overkill for a lot vapers...
Most vapers I know spend much more than 25$ a month on juice, and they buy a new better vape every 3-6 months...Yes it's cheaper, but saying it's only 25$ per month is without counting the device, the change in coils, tanks, batteries...and the juice used is directly correlated to the type of vape you use...

My coils are $11.95 for 5 units, which last around 10-14 days each, depending on usage.
Off the shelf Innokin T22 fixed 14 watt vape, $50 delivered, I bought 2. If one ever fails ill let you know.
My juice, which by the way, makes me smell like warm strawberries with a bit of juicy fruit at the back end, (not so gross as noted by one poster above) runs about $30 for about 6 weeks or so.

Point being, cigs were costing me $200+ a WEEK....vape is a negligible expense....less than I spend on providing milk for the fam.

There are some dicks with sub ohm vapes, making epic clouds to irritate those around them...a minority. Like guys with 14 subwoofers in there car "look at me, I'm vaping Derp".......
Perhaps they are spending money showing off, who cares, I don't, there choice.
Vaping has changed my life so much I can scarcely believe I used to be that effing stupid, I haven't taken so much as a draw from a cig since the vape arrived in the mail....
