Read my post two above yours

I thought the same. Kraft bought out the company and didn't change the label for a few years.

It happens a lot with snack companies too. Here in the UK, "Walker's" have been doing it for a couple of decades now.

Maybe sometimes things overlap/change across timelines because they share the same space. Kinda get muddled!

Thank god! This was really puzzling to me. I remember the 1980s commercial box. I don't think I've had the 'stuff' since the 80s...wouldn't touch it with a ten foot barge pole, lol!

Sup PearlJ,

This is a good one! I'm not familiar with it myself but it clearly has worked on people.

Stouffers Stove Top is easier to remember than Kraft Stove Top simply because of the alliteration.

Because this is one of the rare ME's that don't work on me I can't say too much but once again this could be a great example of how people remember what is easier to remember.

Exactly. RE my post above.

Walker's bought 'Smiths Snacks' but didn't change the name because the alliteration just rings in peoples minds.

Good post!

They specifically stated Stouffer's stove top over and over in the commercials.

Well, I know for a fact that it was once called stouffers stovetop stuffing.

I even remember the commercial where the kid was absolutely thrilled for being invited to eat over for supper and they were serving stouffers stove top stuffing.

Also, no offense, but the company you speak of is Kraft not Craft as you typed it. Typo or your own personal Mandela Effect?

THANK GOD!!! It was like eating wet packing peanuts mixed with sawdust!

It may have been just stove top.
It was part of general foods which did merge with Kraft.

I even remember the jingle. "Stouffer's stovetop has that something- you know what it is!"

Yeah... and whatever it is- it wasn't edible. Bleah.

I usually stay away from ME posts, but I 100% remember Stouffer's Stove Top Stuffing.......like the poster said above, it was terrible, so not so bad if the universe obliterated it.

Wow, I definitely remember Stouffer’s and I didn’t even like stuffing as a kid. I specifically remember a commercial where one kid calls another kid and asks if he wants to come over and spend the night. The invitee seems disinterested until the other kid says “My mom os making Stoufffers stove top for dinner”. The invitee reacts excitedly and next scene is at the other kids happily having dinner. I specifically remember thinking that was silly because I didn’t get the appeal of stuffing, mac and cheese though would have me packing the overnight bag lol.

This is the first ME thread that I’ve agreed with. It was 100% Stouffers Stove Top Stuffing. Nothing could convince me otherwise.

I remember Stouffer's and that famous commercial. Im a generation x 'er and i remember how they also used to put the herbs in a separate package and you would put the herbs into the boiling water before adding the stuffing. It was better that way.
