I hope you calm down soon while there is still a topic to discuss.

Seems precious few can stay on topic in here...

We've watched Trump meet with NATO and successfully get agreements from countries to pay their fair share as defined in the treaty.

You mean we saw Trump take credit for the agreements the Obama administration got.

We saw Germany taken to task for energy trade deals with Russia.

We saw Trump deflect his own shady dealings with Russia on to Germany.

Our eyes perceived the pomp and circumstance of the meeting with Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Castle.

Our eyes perceived Donald Trump dissing the Queen of England in her own home.

We heard Trump make kind remarks about Teresa May while demonstrators in London frantically tried to drive Trump out of England.

We heard Trump trash talking the Prime Minister of Britain in a recorded interview, then claiming he never said what he did.

Actually, Trump stated they discussed unspecific future increases up to 4%, not present increases beyond the 2%.

He talked. They didn't agree. Macron said he lied. I don't doubt it. He lies every day six times or more.

The agreements were made in 2006 and no one has changed a thing.
Trump lies about everything. Every frigging thing.
Macron said he's a liar. No one agreed to change a thing.
His visit is being categorized as a disaster.
The rest of the planet is on edge.

The Thread starting mod here called me a liar for bringing that up, doesn’t even look at the two links I gave him.

*sigh*

Have you ever thought of starting your own thread instead of trying to squelch those started by others?

The topic is not Trump. It is government inter-agency collusion with Russia.

That's because he is a known quantity there. In the election, he did not carry anywhere he owns property.

I thought it was Trump who is meeting with Putin, not the FBI. My bad.

There's a reason the world doesn't trust russia.
They are the bad guys. They have NO interest in world peace of being "friends" with trump. He is dreadful!y naive if he even thinks that. He needs to be on the defensive for the USA if he real!y loves this country. And he needs to put even more sanctions on russia. Cut them off and make them hurt until his own people throw him out.

The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.

I and I hope everyone else capable of understanding this can clearly see the objective at play here. Disruption. Pure and simple. From the very first response, the topic of the thread has been shunned in favor of political bantering. This is exactly what the Democrats in the Strzok hearing did, and it indicates that the truth is getting too close for comfort.

I will hereby refuse to even respond to anyone who does not in some way address the topic of the OP, and I request any other posters who may wish to discuss the OP do the same. Do not respond, do not refute, just let the children throw their fit. It is more obvious than ever to me that I have hit on a truth.

To those who are so insistent on turning this into the Political Mud Pit, I am requesting that this thread now be placed under scrutiny by staff, something I have never done. Let the chips fall where they may.

TheRedneck

As an ATS Staff Member, I will not moderate in threads such as this where I have participated as a member.

With respect Red you did come out swinging right away for trump with stuff that is not true

He lied about NATO
He backstabbed the U.K. PM then lied about saying it

It’s been a complete farce of a visit with him whimpering to Scotland with his tail between his legs

And this isn't even the Mud Pit, where incivility is unleashed with ATS consent. Some people don't know how to use their "inside voice".

Why is reporting the facts of the NATO and UK meetings off topic? They play a big role in US - Russia relations. You wrongly claim he achieved his aims and didn't stab the PM in the back in the press the day before the meeting. NATO was bad, UK was an absolute disaster. Seems key context to the political atmosphere entering the talks IMO, and the claim should be corrected for accurate predictions, unless misinterpreting the OP topic.

What makes you think Russia are the bad guys as you put it? Was it their intervention in Syria? Was it them who declared the war on drugs while at the same time protecting the poppy fields in Afghanistan? Did they go to war with Iraq based on a false claim of WMD’s etc.. The world knows who the real threat to world peace is and it isn’t Russia.

Teresa May is a pornstar Trump credited on twitter for her actions in the UK.

Theresa May is the UK Prime Minister.

They are not. I only said the political mudslinging was off topic. The fact that I am responding to you should prove your post was on topic.

You wrongly claim he achieved his aims and didn't stab the PM in the back in the press the day before the meeting.

Trump stated his goals before leaving: to get member nations to follow up on their agreement to devote 2% or more of their GDP toward NATO resources. He achieved a promise for them to do so. That is the achievement I am referencing.

It is not possible to set a goal for someone else. That seems to e how many are defining achievement; I do not.

As for his rhetoric toward Theresa May, we have seen Trump use similar as a means of preparing for negotiation in the past, to great effect. We'll see if the other countries will now live up to their 2% agreement, but for now, I consider an agreement to do so a success.
