Aim ... no, it would make a nice rug, but I only shoot to eat.

Give the rifle to your bro - do I have a lisence to shoot that?
Don't know.

He's "native", he can shoot anything he likes.

My biggest fear.

Come in with the bros, and throw everything in the wash.
You stink like blood.

No I'm gonna wash it by hand.
Unless a vegan, brothers we got to eat.

Put it in the fridge.

Name me one culture that calls you evil for hunting.
None.

Two brothers from the same dirt.

One became a revolutionary, and the other a capitalist slave.

But for two days a week, we can still go hunting together.

So after my once every few month joining in a hunt (yeah, and I admit, I had some meat, and loads of booze of course) extravaganza, yesterday I was back in the gym.

I didn't expect my trainer, but he pitched, and then he asked: "Do you want to have a session"?

I'm affirmative.

My lower back and knee is shot today, but I had a great time.
So while he's trying to teach me how to do squats with theses weights on my shoulders, these younger dudes start to meander around, first pretending to their own thing, but then watching us.

Then it was time for the leg press.
I'm in this machine, and my trainer just keeps heaping weights on with every set.
Then he tells the younger guys, come help push.
Although they must be 18-22, their arms to me look like toothpicks.
I'm thinking - Oh, my goodness!
And they push, and I push with my legs (just don't "lock" them), and next thing it almost comes crashing down on me.
But luckily the machine has a hand-break gadget.
But what a laugh!

I almost got squashed, and went to the Pearly Gates as a sandwich, but flip it was a lot of fun!

watch a movie on netflix called food choices. All about plant based diets and how some very strong athletes never eat meat or need lots of protein. they claim that needing lots of protein to build muscle is a myth made up by the meat industries. Good Movie. Made me want to go plant based and eat less meat

My trainer: you must eat steaks.

No, just not going to happen.

The bros also cook, but this is the type of wife I need ...
How much for a wife like that?
Four cows.

Joke obviously, even the brothers must cook for themselves.

Six small meals a day.

Just try and cook a nice vegetarian meal, and then snack all day.

If you want to body-build it is highly recommended you start eating meat again for the full benefits of a diet.

But I cannot.

Is it really all true?

The rice, the potatoes, the porridge - it is wrong?

Perhaps the carbs are wrong - eat steak morning, noon and bedtime.

But who can afford that?
And is it right anyway?

No you just need more protein.
Your carbs are probably fine so get protein from eggs, fish, turkey breasts, canned fish/tuna/sardines/salmon, or even better is protein powder from whey. Or soy if want vegetarian.
Put a scoop of vanilla powder in your cereal, oatmeal or use a shaker with water, milk or almond milk.

Get fat from natural peanut butter, nuts (omega 6), olive oil (omega 9) and omega 3 from salmon, fatty fish or flaxseed oil caps.
Saturated fat is in red meat. A lot of other sources of that have too much sugar but there is some in most protein.

avoid sugar.

You need fat, protein and fibrous carbs. To gain muscle you'll also need complex carbs - rice, oatmeal. But beware it's easy to overeat carbs which turns to body fat. After 1 chicken breast or can of tuna I'mm done with that but I could keep eating fresh bread or pasta all day. Same with sugar.

$20 for a 2.5 lb can of protein - Body Fortress or Muscle Milk per serving it's the same as a can of tuna and ~40gr protein.

Talking about sugar, recently I was in the body-building section of the pharmacy, and I thought, jeepers this whey powder is expensive.

Then I saw this bucket called "mass gainer", and it was under R100.

But luckily the sales-person (it was actually a man - duh) told me not to buy it, unless you're seriously emaciated.

That stuff is full of sugar and will make you fat.

Sarge - am I getting too fat?

No, you were actually underweight.

I was WHAT?

Shut up and fall in with the other lads.

Well fancy me thinking "I'm too fat".

Meanwhile I'm too thin.

Either way, a cold beer would be nice.

Anyway, there was this whole girly-school there, and they left their bears and stuffed toys on the table.

So I was joking with my trainer, "Nice touch - it lightens the mood".

But he wasn't impressed: "Why does it take you back"?

Yeah Mr. Woodcock.

Back to the rave scene in 1998.

Millennials should dance.

After all, this is where you were conceived.

No really!

So fuzzy, there was a rave, and next thing she's WHAT?
