I showed the pic to a Retired Military dude, he confirmed rocket/missile.

There was no conversation prior to showing the pic, just a "hey, can you tell me what this is? Or what it's supposed to be?" kind of question.

Without hesitation he answered "A rocket, or a Missile. Looks like a missile. Used to shoot the off all the time."
