Washington State checking in here... although I admit I only watch the local news in the morning for traffic and weather, I have seen only a blurb about this missile launch being a helicopter and then nothing else.

I was definitely thinking about the "research"/"sites" mentions. Seems purposefully ambiguous to me (missile versus other).
