Not that big a deal in the scheme of things. It's also obvious as gov't gets larger and more invasive, individual cases tend to receive less as less attention.

This particular one was brought to Trump's attention by Kim Kardashian. If the information is correct, he acted appropriately. While he's not the first to do so, nor will he be the last, it is worthy of acknowledgment.

Good on you Trump. Recently his decisions has been slightly changing my mind about him. He may be a bigot but I think he has good intentions but his cabinet is complete crap. I say stick to your gut fire all those other a holes. But this kind of thing makes me happy. Sessions may not think so lol

It's got to be tough to select a Cabinet when you've been outside the political loop most of one's life. At first he selected either people he knew or had similar business backgrounds. Then more 'recommended' individuals.

Tough to drain the swamp when the people selected are, themselves, swamp residents.

Open front door, open back door. Not much of an alternative, is there?

Well ya I guess that is true. Hopefully the right people for the job will get there. When I first got the position I am in now I hired individuals that I liked from my position that I had previously. Turns out they could not get the work done. Sad to see them go but I have a job that needs to get done. My bosses were disappointed in my selection at first but after some time I put together a good team and now we get our # done.

I'm sure that there are hundreds of similar cases languishing in the Pardon Office that Trump hasn't even thought to look at, because they don't have a porn star with connections to play to Trump's ego to get the pardon to happen. Sad.

At first I didn’t like having to go to people that are for the most part older than me and telling them hey get this fixed or you will get fixed. I was too soft. Then when I got the right team together I still felt soft doing this. At first when I walked into an office for a meeting I was looked at like a little punk. Now when I walk in they cringe and get flustered. Just takes time.

OK. I guess he should drop everything and address that issue. As I said, he isn't the first and he won't be the last...in response to your 'kind' post.

I'll give credit where credit's due. This was the right move.

It will be interesting to see the reactions from everyone that criticized Obama for all of his non-violent, drug related pardons.

Does this mean that a non-celebrity will have access to the White House to ask Trump for a pardon if their relative or close family member is jailed because of the same non-violent circumstances?

I highly doubt it! Nothing like catering to celebrities and the rich. I thought he was for the working class? Many of his pardons have been given to well publicized cases.

No President should have absolute pardoning power. This is just too much power given to a U.S. President without any checks and balances to his decision. Pardoning power without evaluation by a non-partisan committee should be left to dictators. A title Trump would love.

For many, obviously not.

Doing the right thing is, apparently, not enough. ...and when did Kardasian (sp?) become a porn star? But I thought porn stars were to be believed when they say something?

Or is that only when it suits the driving purpose??

I much prefer "driving purpose" to narrative, we should bring that back.

Lol WTH kind of reply is that? Who is the porn star in this case...Seems the left being so non-religious have all of a sudden developed some strict religious morals on all this, the Righteous of the left...geez

He is also going to pardon Dwight Hammond Jr., 73, and Steven Hammond, 46 next I bet you...not sure if your porn stars will be involved with this one.

BTW these "so sad" cases were in jail during most if not all of Obama's time, so what about him in not giving pardons that you assume Trump is being delinquent on unless a porn star is involved,

What is sad you your attitude over anything Trump does. I'm sure if Trump discovered the cure for cancer and gave it away for free, you would have a so sad reply on that too... lol

I'm really trying not to bash you, but your post makes it hard not too.

I don't agree with labeling her a porn star but it is a fact that she first came to prominence thanks to her sex tape.

I do have to say I'm looking forward to the cognitive dissonance that will happen to both sides over this. I mean, Kim did vote for Hillary.

Interesting that...
