I'm the new girl. I saw the picture of the dragon and the lion and I just had to join! They're both my astrological signs.

It touched my heart that there is a soft centre in this all too hardened world. A place of magic and manifest dreams.

It's a pleasure to meet you all and I hope I can be of service to you all in some way.

Yes, it's indeed my first post on ATS. I was meandering around the interwebs and there was this little shed at the bottom of the garden. Having a decidedly strong Alice complex I decided to investigate. Lo and behold I saw my totems on the front door. I'd be a fool not to investigate.

See! I'm figuring this thing out!

Oh, I left Kansas a long time ago and I've journeyed through Oz and I've tumbled down the rabbit hole. The thing is, once you've left you can never go back, even if you return.

Something struck me as I was writing this about the two stories there. Both Alice and Dorothy had to go through falling (danger, uncertainty, fear etc) and being swept up in a whirlwind (same stuff) to be able to embark on their journeys of self discovery.

What if the times in our lives we are most in fear, uncertain, lost etc are our passageways into our worlds of discovery?

Pondering.
