Egyptians were though to gold plate items. That would require a battery, a couple of electrodes and clay pots for insulation. It is documented that the Ancient Egyptians used electric eels to help alleviate the symptoms of epilepsy. They also knew how to make glass and basic metallurgy with metals like gold and mercury. This could explain the mystery of the Baghdad Battery. Those jars could been used to hold mercury and coupled with an electric eel.

In the real world, there is the Electric Surface Potential. The ionosphere has a high voltage potential difference created by thunderstorms. At the surface the potential is considered to be zero for practical uses (design of electrical equipment and telephone exchanges. Having something "earthed" is a standard safety feature along with circuit breakers.

Depending on weather conditions, static electricity can build up and start to discharge through metal objects away from the surface of the ground (St. Elmo's Fire). Many amazing photographs and sketches of wooden ships with steel masts with sparks shooting off.

Tesla thought he could use the atmosphere as a means of power distribution. Use a Tesla coil system to create a high potential difference using AC current. Then jars of mercury vapor could be used to rectify any alternating current into direct current. These were actually used as high voltage diode rectifiers for trams and industrial factories that only had access to AC current.

To do what? Where are the microwave ovens and electric drills (both metaphors, ok?) The point is that we don't have the objects that were powered by this system. All we have are stone buildings. Pretty impressive stone buildings, but nothing else. And, for that matter, all we have are some towers. There is no system. And there is nothing that says these towers were actually part of a system. They could be just towers. The spires on the tops of churches, for example, are just spires. They were never meant to be used as part of a power system. It's like you are attempting to "connect the dots" without even proving that you have a dot. You need more than that to develop a theory. Ideally, you need a working prototype. So where's the beef?

I have no doubt there was some sort of civilization in ancient times and that the Great Pyramid is from that time. One of the big objections to that idea was that there was nothing else like it, but now we have Gobleki Tepi. We have clear evidence of a comet strike, both geological evidence and fossil evidence. We have Plato's story and worldwide mythology. Evidence keeps turning up all the time so it's not just a single pyramid any more. But Gobleki Tepi was deliberately buried, and when it was uncovered, all we have are stone buildings and some interesting carvings. Still no evidence that is not just stone. But at least the theory has quite a few disparate parts that are beginning to make sense.

Or obelisks are simply phallic symbols of fertility.

Nothing was explained. What building that was built can we not build today, still waiting for that to be explained.

OP is talking about 19th century Europe. Please try again. He is saying super advanced technology was in use by europe and then lost in the 1800s. he talks about buildings in europe built in the 1600s 1700s that cant be built today because our technology isn't good enough.

Your link explains what it is, and it has nothing to do with electricity.
