Venison. If you have strong teeth and don't mind chewing for an hour. ( per bite) I wonder if it would soften up in a pressure cooker. The magic pot that tenderizes the toughest meat.
They don't sell it around here.

Just need to cook it till the outer edge is brown, if you cook it all the way through brown it will be shoe leather.

Just had some venison for dinner last night, fricking love it cant wait till I can start hunting again.

Or just diced it, roll it in flour and pepper then fry it.

I personally don't much mind the proliferation of this vegan idea. In an emergency they will make for a really convenient snack. I imagine they would be kind of like veal because they never work no tough muscle tissue just soft soy fed protein. all the mind-altering substances they consume you might even catch a sweet Buzz

I have had 1 bad piece, that was in Germany eating farm raised deer meat... tasted like liver.

I cut up the other piece we had and used it in a stew and it was passable.

But yea fresh killed wild there is little better.

I assume organic, grass fed and contaminated by smog and pesticides.
You know...healthy people with no guilt.

I have tried it multiple times and its always too salty? Just not a fan..

Really? I haven't had vegan that many times... they're rare down here.

Oh, you meant venison!

You might be getting some that is preserved with salt... no one here does that, but I know they used to salt pork to preserve it. I don't know, but it sounds like you're just not getting good meat.

I know I tried emu once... a friend raised some and he had some in his freezer he gave me. Turns out, he gave it to me because he was ready to throw it out... it was freezer burnt, tough, stringy.... I tried a piece, then threw it out for him. Fresh emu isn't half bad, I later discovered.

ETA: if it is salted meat, throw a couple of taters in the pot with it when you cook it... pulls the salt right out of the meat!

I actually loved venison and never found it unworthy of my palate
rabbit is gamey ! venison is just nice

Rabbit is very nice when done well.

The french and Italians/europeans usually make a stew with rabbit.

Chinese not so much. Good stuff but my wife has an aversion for some reason.

Unless you snare one in the wild and roast it on a spit it's better to add veggies and simmer it.

Don't over cook venison, that's the main problem people have with it.

It's more healthy than beef or pork.

If you don't smother it in bearnaise.

I am a huge fan of ostrich.

Gotta have a pal who hunts! Mrs. Canuck has certain dietary restrictions with regards to meat...but game is ok. Got some bear in the freezer, too. I'm told to stew it.

Leave them on the grill a little longer and they won't be so rare.

Are you referring to the vegan's lack of empathy by disrupting other's night out?
