That's a temporary assignment not a US military base. Try again

There is not a U.S. Military Base in Singapore. Commander, Logistics Group Western Pacific (COMLOG WESTPAC) and Navy Region Center Singapore (NRCS) are both located in building 7-4 terminal inside the Port of Singapore Authority (PSA) Sembawang. PSA Sembawang is located in the Far North region of Singapore and could be considered semi-rural as it is approximately 45 minutes away from much of the excitement and entertainment of downtown.

Try again

The military installation is run by the United States Navy. It is among the multitude of military facilities owned by the United States of America in Asia.

COMLOG WESTPAC was initially established to strengthen the collateral relationships between the United States of America and Singapore. Other than that, the main unit hosted on site is responsible for an amazing surface of over 51 M square miles.
It covers most of the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean, which means it holds a huge responsibility on its shoulders. Most of the ships that are involved in various operations in the area come and respond directly to this installation. The installation doesn’t just control all the operations and missions in Asia, but it is also responsible for repairing and maintenance operations when needed.

How strange is that.

I have ZERO problems using blue helmets as target practice. Certainly a more worthwhile endeavor than Afghanistan for me.

Shouldn't be too hard to track them, just follow the trail of failed missions and raped children.

This post is so on point...

Bravo good sir.

An assignment somewhere does not equal the presence of a base.

Military Bases have a specific definition and are treated differently than temporary assignments and overseas quartering.

More often than not, DOD personnel and troops in these temporary assignments, called TDY, tend to stay in hotels or temporary housing provided by the host nation.

That does not make it a base.

Why is this so hard for you 2 to understand?

In July 1992 COMLOGWESTPAC was established in Singapore as logistics agent for 7th Fleet. COMLOGWESTPAC is the U.S. 7th Fleet’s principal logistics agent and bilateral exercise coordinator for Southeast Asia.

It is a small logistics team that operates from a terminal building. This is not a military base. From your own sources.

I thought you Americans used and understood The English Language ?

Definition of the word " Base"

A military base is a place which part of the armed forces works from.

Nope. None.

It's in the second sentence. That should make it pretty easy for you.

You are wrong. Because TDY assignment often does not include a BASE.

Or are you saying that temporary housing and hotel rooms are bases?

You are flat wrong and do not understand what you're talking about.

You are wrong.

You would be correct if you were using the term "military activity." A base is a complex of buildings. An activity can be as small as an office rented out on a single floor of a building.

Which is exactly what this logistics group is doing.

Which, if true, has no bearing on you using the incorrect terminology in an effort to claim victory and refusing to drop it once it's been shown to be incorrect, and why.

You don't even know what you're talking about.

Having recently been a soldier with quite a few TDY trips, I know how this works.

It helps if you have a plot to lose. You do not.

This is my last reply to you since your level of density is approaching Schwarzschild radius, and I simply don't wanna get sucked into your blackhole of ignorance and willful dismissals.

How the hell did we get out here in left field?

3 cheers for the UN for doing the right thing. Our bully in chief doesn't get to just do things internationally all willy-nilly.
