i think now would be a time to cut back on money we give these clowns . look just because you say something is true a whole bunch of times does not make it so. remember all the time media said hilly won well we see how that turned out. Israel made Jerusalem their capitol almost 38 years ago . u.n. needs to stop beating a very dead horse.

yes, the dilemma of whom they will kill on behalf of the "Palestinian" terrorists, that they will prefer this time hatred for Palestine or sympathy for Israel? can they kill the Trump on behalf of the "Palestinian suicide bomber" and that if he survives after being wounded in the head, will he become antichrist?

And since when are somewhat sacrosanct (but stupid) policy decisions from the 90ies relevant for the here and now? Was there anything from that time and age, policy-wise, that actually deserves another chance?

A balanced budget?

More privatisation and budget cuts for social programs! Nope, thanks.

The reactions on here are so typical of what we tend to se from right wing Americans these days.

The great mass of nations in the world, including the USA's closest military ally, disagree with a unilateral and completely unhelpful declaration by the Trump administration and all the dolls come out of the pram.

The ever ubiquitous "what-about-ism" was out straight away as the discussion is deflection to criminal acts by individuals and naming other countries as if the UN ignores them and all the other perceived failings of the UN are thrown about without ever once actually talking about the subject of what this vote is actually about.

All the would-be Rambo's are already talking about fighting off a UN invasion in the streets of America (WT actual F?) These members are clearly insane or just idiots anyway, they way they pulled this fantasy out of their arseholes.

Even officially though, the statement "The United States will remember this day where it was singled out for attack.....etc" by whoever it was, show how far removed the US administration from world opinion, international diplomacy, or even adulthood, never mind what democracy even means.

The US is alone in recognising illegally occupied territory as a state capital and really can't understand why EVERYBODY ELSE has an issue with that? Even though the status of Jerusalem as capital city has been agreed will be the subject of negotiations in the final stages of peace talks. The US has single handedly thrown all that in the bin in what may be regarded the single most provocative act in the region since 1967! Then Trump has the Gaul to talk about being optimistic for peace in the region and all the performing seals clap for a fish.

The sheer arrogance and disregard displayed by the US and the current administrations supporters beggars belief. Especially since, despite all the hot air and posing, Trump has already signed the same waiver that previous presidents signed to delay the move. So what's all this posturing really about?

Jerusalem is run by Israel just like London is run by Britain or Paris is run by France. Nothing is going to change, Trump is in the REAL WORLD unlike many other dreamers who think Israel is somehow going to hand over its capital to the enemy. Like it or lump it Jerusalem is the capital of Israel. Believing that Israel is going to hand it over is like believing Poland is going to hand back Breslau to Germany, it's never going to happen. Trump understands this and if other non important joke type countries don't like it then so what? Outside of the unmatchable power of the USA nothing really matters in this world for Bibi and Israel

Except not everyone who despises the UN is a 'right wing American', some of us see that organization for what it is, a corrupt, inept and dangerous group with a proven track record of doing harm to those it is supposed to be protecting.

And more whataboutisms for me to have fun with. Awesome!

What part of this resolution is the one "doing harm to those it is supposed to be protecting"?

I'm specifically talking about their child raping, but you knew that.

Which is what I'd call a whataboutism. Maybe it's worth to think about the potential harm of moving an embassy instead?

Speculating on something is a 'whataboutism', the child rapes already occurred and are documented.

But what about all the depleted uranium used in this war with terror, harming pretty much all the kids of Fallujah with staggering cancer rates?

You see where this is going, right?

You can bring up any topic you want, I still want to see the UN's demise. Nothing would make me happier than them jumping out of windows into the East River.

look we acknowledge something THAT HAS BEEN FACT FOR ALMOST 38 YEARS and the u.n. is jumping up and down stamping their feet and crying out.

now where is their righteous rage in all there member countries allow children to be wed to old men, where children are sold to brothels, where native peoples are being wiped out for there lands?
why are they not up in arms to stamp out SLAVERY yes that practice still exists Africans. are being caught and sold into slavery everyday?

donald trump did not make jerusalem capitol israel did in 1980.

why are they not doing something about member cpuntries who major export is illict drugs?
why are they allowing japan to hunt whales?

Israel occuiping jerusalem illegally well most of us live in lands stolen from people in past.

The vote did remind us just how few allies Israel really has, either way, no wonder they have the Samson option on the table.
The UN has no power unless the security council votes 100% to do something, and that rarely happens.

Oh stop it!

Just admit that if you despise the corrupt hypocritical body of the UN you are a Trump-supporting Nazi with tiny feet.
