It doesn't seem that gun regulations have helped, since mass shootings are on the rise regardless.

I think people's minds are being "shattered" , especially our youth, through constant images of violence on television. Just look at shows like "Family Guy".....this is an adult cartoon, shown during prime time when kids are watching. "Stewy" is a horrible little murderous baby who wants to kill his Mother ! That's just one example of many very violent "cartoons".

We are being MK ultra'ed on a mass scale, if I'm ever lucky enough to became a Grandma, there will be little to no TV at Grandma's house ! That's one place to start , turn off the Damm TV !

Having stable, two parent homes with stable extended family structure helps buffer against the one crappy parent. That's why I bring it up. These days, if a kid has one stable, reliable parent, and that is the crappy parent, that child is almost certainly doomed.

That is reasonable.

I also know you being up socioeconomics, but understand, if the kid has one crappy parent and no back up in family structure, then you can dump all the monetary aid you want in there, and it won't help. You're just making a rich disaster instead of a poorer one. Money does not give the kid the social, emotional stability he or she needs to grow up well-rounded and stable.

Again, I agree. But we cannot dismiss the smaller aspects that may create the bigger picture.

What agenda am I pushing, except one of wanting to have a logical, reasonable conversation beyond the hyperbolics you speak of and perpetuate?

The first sign of agenda is political talking points. 'Honest conversation'.

Which means there is no honesty to be had.

And the biggest reason it fails is because of a well known legal defense called 'temporary insanity'.

Because it is a subjective term to begin with.

Mental issue/guns is hyperbolics and straight up FEAR mongering.

Irrational thinking.

And some want an 'honest conversation' for whatever reason to 'defend' against something that has no defense against.
