Image compression? Who said anything about image compression?

Sorry, thinking of something else. Image enlargement, I guess.

I include that in the "natural geometric object" category.

Yeah. It's not unheard of, per the responses above.

ArMaP, thanks for going to the trouble to post that animation. As you know one of the most helpful techniques is to be able to analyse the shadow for significant information. That technique works great on flat surfaces, but in this case it is in an old crater where the shadow is likely false because of elevation and surface angle changes. Better resolution would have been helpful too. With that said, with what we have in imagery will not yield any definitive answers.

I find the anomaly to be a very interesting case, but one that will remain unresolved with the information available to date.

A real unresolved mystery.

yeah coming from you and from the history background of your employment
as you mentioned ,

I and surely ( assume ) ArMaps thanks you

We may bicker , but it stretches the interests

as Both ArMaps and I sometimes are in different camps
we get too a conclusion ,

as his camps prove it that it IS
and mine prove it that its NOT

or Vice versa ,

LOL

as a
Lunar Cartographer

have you seen any Anomalies your self ?

or you rather not say. in the Spot Light ?

The astronauts had a interest in this

but nothing more then a shinny meteor
that hit the moon
or is it

or this plume

Some claim its from a CM

but I had the Video from the original film
and it was a Quick orbital pass by ,
and they were not focused on it
had too do a quick pause to capture the Still

Doesn't really change at all from one picture to the next. Is it frozen?

its a frame by frame shot ,

it just shows the fraction a distance ,

from the actual film ,

the other one showing the shinny Meteor
what the Astronauts were focused on i think Apollo 11 or Earlier

it shows the stills from within a 2 second shot as i skipped some frames

as I said the the photo showing the Plume was captured from the film

a pause then frame by frame shot , as it was going fast the Lander ,

also to note on the same film , what it also shows is multiple layers of film
as like a double exposure like a still and of course each of the layers is different speeds.
and more likely two different signals on the same film.
like a overlay.

kinda strange as to way they have done that , probably saving the cost .

then again the films ive seen are all out of wack, different speeds running way to fast ,
video flipped upside down , or reversed. even scratches and debris on film Hair , dust specks etc
even showing screw ups aka bloopers lol! astronauts messing with the rover,
not a good source , but they are legit , and close to HD quality

as where the source came from , back in the late 90s early 2000s
was from a Site in Japan , some guy posted them up on his site

and it was taken down within two days , a friend of mine got just half of them
from one of his sources that discovered the link .

well as the rumors have it ,

that NASA always have a 2nd copy of Materials, from film to documents
and usually end up in Japan .

yeah i see what you mean

the astronaut using the cam move it !

I went back to my old saves and apparently
this was from the Apollo 8 mission ( the first mission to the moon )

So here is what i found on my stills that i saved

a lot better

So as it seem what i posted in the previous
was 2 pics that were just a couple of frames off , looking like it was frozen LOL

anyway here is a beautiful shot from Apollo 10 of a crater

Interesting. It looks like an artificial structure, be it a building or a machine of sorts. I'm sure this solar system is full of unusual activity. One day we might realize just how much was being hidden from us...
