Yes, and an economics professor to boot. I saw that headline and for a moment thought about posting it but, you know, I didn't want to accused of posting every little bad thing about Trump that comes to my attention.

Opps, to late on that account.

As usual whats your point?,just another Trump hater, posting anything that goes against him, well thought out,not

One doesn’t have to look for bad things to say about Trump ... merely reporting what happens on any given day is usually more than enough.

Does anyone know what the leader of the Virgin Islands is called without hitting google? I think Trump gets a pass on this one. An honest mistake that anyone could make.

I think if I met with the leader there, I would remember.

But he is the president. He is the smartest. He knows more than anybody. He isn't just anybody like you or me he's Donald Trump

I’m speaking with myself, number one, because I have a very good brain and I’ve said a lot of things.

Trump: I consult myself on foreign policy

No worse than your boy Obama saying he has visited all 57 states. If you had everything you said throughout everyday of your life recorded, you would be amazed at how stupid you sound, this post is evidence of that.

Why is it that if you criticise Trump you must be a Democrat ?
Seems it's Either Or these days , left or right , Republican or Democrat no room for the centre ground where people can call out idiocy where they see it.

It's politics not rocket science , someone somewhere is pulling the strings.

First off you make a gross assumption that just because I ridicule Trump, that I am a Obama supporter. It seems so many conservatives just cannot realize that not liking Trump does not equal liking Obama.
Secondly if you had gotten any farther than my original post you would have seen that the 57 State comment was brought up immediately. What I asked for in my original post was something fresh, something new, something different, that wasn't just a repeat repeat repeat of the same old canned justifications for trumps aberrant behavior

Do you have a reference for that Obama statement?

There are two gaffes in that clip. One is a civics issue and the other a math problem.

Anyone who speaks for a living eventually does this.

Yeah, I understand what you say here. Myself, I feel like an idiot at times expressing my contempt for the man around these parts as he has such a staunch following. Staunch, unwavering, and I might add inflexible support. So what does it accomplish this Trump ''bashing'' as his supporters call it? Most likely nothing other than what the bible used to call ''a hardening of the hearts'' of his followers.

The thing is though, some of it is not ''bashing'' but rather attempts to point out how inept he is. We can push that off to low IQ but where is the proof, cuz look at all his money. We can push it off to old age and dementia but look at how he won the presidency. Everything anyone says about him can be explained away by another reason or brainwashing by the msm. Right there I think is one of the main questions. The msm. Not so much the msm but the idea that those of us who are on what you call the other side must be brainwashed by it, the msm? And as this is certainly true to some degree, to use it as a blanket explanation of why we disagree, ( anti trumpers are brainwashed and trumpers are not ) is just ludicrous. And why? Because that perspective can just as easily be turned on it's head and pointed in the other direction.
Stalemate, and nothing is accomplished but a hardening of the hearts.

This notion of accepting blanket statements as explanations for differences does not serve us well at all except in our own delusions. Another blanket statement that pops up constantly is the blanket notion that to see Trump in any other light other than complete faith must be because that person was a Clinton supporter or an Obama supporter, which in so many cases around here at least simply is not true. Yet thread after thread that notion is used on a daily basis for not bothering to give any credence to another understanding of our political realities.

The problem is , stories are simply being made up about him and people are buying into them, hook line and sinker. Now does he misspeak? Yes. But as it has been pointed out everyone does even presidents. I get that you don't agree with his policies and that is fine, but to start posts calling into question his ability to lead because he misspoke is disengenuous at best. And to disagree with someone and to try and userpt a sitting President are two drastically different things. The fact the MSM has been caught on many occasions lying and fabricating stories about the President should be investigated and prosecuted for what it is ,a coup.

the problem is[/quote
The problem is is that there are too many problems, problems that go way beyond Trump and Clinton, or Obama or any of those we would look to for leadership.
A simple one to digest is the miss-use of words. For instance, the word ''socialist''.
Socialism is a belief that the workers should own their own means of production and with that product sell or trade it in the market to support themselves rather than to work for an owner who then pays what little he can for their labor while reaping whatever profit he can from that product even if it means paying as little as possible to his employees. Simple.

But now, that term, ''socialist'' has been turned on it's head to mean these big oligarchs that are working behind the scenes to take away our freedoms and our minds and our guns, yes I said ''our guns'' as I am a gun owner. But that is not what socialism means. Soros is not a socialist, how could he be? If he is the oligarch who is boo coo rich because of his manipulations and back room dealings and power plays all over the economy, how in the world could he be a socialist. HOW? Out and out, he is a capitalist, plain and simple, yet every day here we hear about what a socialist he is. And that could be no farther from the truth. In line with that neither is Obama a socialist, nor either of the Clintons. Yet they are considered socialists by many. Many who are dead wrong about that.

My belief is that this is important. I think that many of us hate the very same things and want to see similar changes in our society, yet, we cannot even agree on what words mean what any more.

And from my point of view norhoc until we realize that we have more in common than not, maybe all we can do is flounder around by pointing out that each others supposed chosen leaders are worse than our own. Clinton would not have been good for our future, but neither is Trump.
