I'm wondering if he was initially only going to spray the crowd & cause mayhem as a distraction, & bomb somewhere else. I could see it panning out with planning, slipping out of the hotel in the early reactions stage with panicked people all around and he'd be lost in the crowd easily.

I still highly suspect Antifa involvement, if they could have one guy massacre a crowd & slip out with the fleeing to blow something up, they could be a formidable, easily camouflaged domestic threat to everyone.

You are correct that the girlfriend isn't in the country. They had already reported that as confirmed this morning and she was no longer a person of interest.

Don't know, but I do know that there have been a stream of fake FB, Twitter etc profiles popping into and out of existence since this happened purporting to be him and his girlfriend.

I am. He apparently gambled a lot. In Vegas. Of course, without knowing the status of his finances, or the significant financial transaction reported earlier, I can only speculate.

Just because someone gambles a lot doesn't necessarily mean they are bad with money or are in trouble though.

Never said it was.

But most people that gamble a lot don't take over a dozen guns and shoot up a concert from a hotel room, either; therefore, the money angle is highly probable, considering it was Vegas, in a place he apparently frequented.

That makes no sense. Why then not just go after the casino or whatever other establishment you owe money to and shoot that up, if you're gonna kill yourself in the end anyway.

Explosive material was also found in a vehicle, which would indicate he was planning more. So again, I don't buy money troubles as the cause.

Certainly true.

I even take the official police statements with a grain 9f salt.

It seems like often times in these situations a rush for answers leads to incorrect info.

Yeah, I think it was about 14 hours before the shooting. One Instagram post of what sure looked like him smiling.

So GF was a high stakes dealer...and he was a high stakes gambler.
