Ghostsinthefog - my heart is nowhere as bad off as your's is. However, I can relate to how you are thinking.
I experienced a heart attack a few months ago and my heart went into AFib a few weeks ago. My heart needed to be shocked to get it back to beating properly. Now I have one doctor telling me that I need a valve replaced and another one saying my heart is too weak for that and there is not enough evidence that this valve is actually bleeding.

So, for now, I feel weak and tired most of the time without a clue as to how bad my heart actually is. Hopefully the doctor I see next week and explain what the future holds for me as I'm not the person I used to be.

For you, I wish you the best outcome possible. I know how hard it can be to spend all your time in the hospital. Don't forget that you have plenty of friends to share with here at ATS.

Sending you good thoughts my friend.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

The thought that came to me as I was reading your post was "stem cells." Have your doctors mentioned trying one of the experimental stem cell protocols? I've read that some of these procedures have been highly successful in treating heart failure. I believe the researcher I heard reporting on it was in the UK. Will see if I can find that report.

The third most common cause of death these days is "complications."

I can see how traumatizing and overwhelming it is for you, but you are not alone. I am wishing you strength and courage on your journey ahead. Keep fighting! I want to puke.

Then go do it. I'd think we'd all like it better if you were off vomiting, rather than posting here. Happy nausea.

You can still think. You can still write. You can still love. You can still share.

Einstein did most of his greatest work in seclusion, in daydreams, in notebooks.

If you want to change the world, then decide to change the world. Share yourself.

I don't know how many years it's been since I logged in. But I did, because of this thread.

Because I care about you.

You are important. You have touched many people here already. You have made us take a look at our own lives, appreciate who and what we have. The kindness and love we then show to those close to us, gets passed on and grows, affecting countless others.

You have no idea what an incredible catalyst for positive change you may be for hundreds of relationships.

You are in my prayers Ghost. I may return to my natural lurking state, but I will be here, following your journey, lifting you and your family up into the constant radiating love of God.

When you see the first pink streaks of morning sun, waking up the sleepy sky, or the last remnants of sunlight clinging to the heavens in a lazy pink fog, remember that someone, somewhere, is thinking about you.

May you be at peace, may you find your new calling, along this road you had not chosen, and may you be given the healing and comfort you need, from our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Live every day like its your last. I know it's easy for someone to say it but try not be as down as you are. Make every day week month and year count.

Behind every dark cloud there's a brighter day

Do not be afraid to try other hospital like Duke ...or big hospitals in other countries (USA ) too. ....you are that much of anomaly that other well known or world wide specialists will want to see you too ! I wish there was a way for me to help you....I can't help but wonder if there is some sort of a virus or flu that has affected your heart tissue . ....I will say a prayer for you and am wishing you and your loved ones better days .
