if god did send jesus and the bible is true, jesus didn't heal the sick for payment wouldn't that be the sign?
jesus was obviously a pinko commie!

a god fearing country that praises the bible's virtues yet goes against every principle is somewhat hypocritical.

Really??? Are you saying that McCain was given brain cancer by progressives??? I guess you'll try and use anything at all to place blame on people you don't like regardless of how ridiculous it may sound. Perhaps it's not the progressives that are the problem.

???? Did you read the OP??? He said that God was saying that our healthcare was fine because a republican senator got shot! And it is my post that you find fault with. Carry on cuck, carry on.

I don't think that's what the OP said at all. Did you read it??

He was saying God was trying to remind the people in office about the importance of having good health care by making them use theirs by getting shot and having brain cancer. Because they do have great health care. They don't have the same stuff we get. People in office have the good stuff.

So ya, it is your post I find fault with because yours makes no sense. You're trying to blame it on Progressives without explaining how Progressives are responsible for McCain's Brain Cancer.

No need for the name calling either. Just because you put forth a sh*tty argument is no reason to call me names. It's not my fault you're making a dumb argument.

My god told me this was all the work of the other guy down below. The other guy is furiously pumping up the whole socialistic movement so we will sell our own selves into slavery, thinking it is compassion instead. They are close to completing the scheme in flipping reality 180 degrees.

My god believes in personal responsibility and accountability. They do not believe in selling your soul to the demons of socialism for simple comfort.

It is truly an epic battle.

Your god sent one hell of a hippie-dippie sausage fest-friendly socialist to represent him then.

What health insurance policy do both republican politicians have ? ( the one shot and McCain ) ...do they even use Obama care ? ....and if your going to throw God and religion into the reason as to why you can't pass a bill.....then , maybe God has shown up to get obamacare repealed, replaced, or tweeked, ...but the Devil is playing games and blocking him ....otherwise it's just politics as usual.

The three factions of republicans plus the republican president could not come up with something better. They promised over and over for years. If the republicans want to keep socialism at bay, all states should expand Medicaid so the exchanges can get more customers.

Here's the deal. The republicans are NOT going to replace ACA because they DON"T KNOW HOW.

Wake up and smell the coffee. If they knew how, they would have done it by now. (Who knew Health Care was so complicated? Um, everybody but you, rich guy?)

The republicans are in over their heads, and Trump will need to hire an outside team of experts to come up with something if he wants to do it without the Dems.

McCain voted his conscience, as people who are sometimes faced with a terminal illness are prone to do.
If they work together, they can repair what we have. Trump has sabotaged ACA and is causing it to fail, and causing the insurance companies to pull out due to Trump pulling the subsidies they needed. Paul Ryan has made himself irrelevant. There was a time when I thought he had good sense, but he has proven me quite wrong.

ACA can be fixed. Trump wants it repealed for one reason, so he can say he did it. It was less harmful to the country and it's citizens when he simply had some Russian prostitutes pee on the bed.

Is God sending Republicans a sign in the Health care debate?

In the middle of the congressional health care debate we had a congressmen shot down and literally saved buy our health system

Now in the middle of the senate debate we have one of our republican senators struck with a severe disease...

Maybe. Or maybe God's sending a big fat red flag to EVERYONE that the fat cats making the decisions for the rest of us have what they need and really don't give a rat's patootie about the rest of us... well, except to the extent that they can bleed us dry for their own benefit.... by design.

I think that the gods may just be non-partisan. Even if they are partisan (as told in Homer), they may cross party lines (also in Homer). But any way, people pass human laws. Sometimes a goddess may disguise as a wise counselor and give advice (eg. Athena to Odysseus or his son, again Homer). But such things are probably rare.

It isn't only Republicans who get cancer or get shot. It can happen to anybody. Even a Democratic lawmaker has been recently diagnosed with kidney cancer.

So U.S. lawmakers have the best insurance available, I don't know all the details, but I've heard that it's top shelf.

Here is a sign:

There were people wounded severely and not so severely. Steve Scalise spent very much time in hospital, several operations, and etc. paid for by insurance available to Congress people. Others wounded received medals of valor yesterday. What about Matt Mika? Does no one outside of family care or worry or even think about Matt?

Alexandria shooting victim Matt Mika released from hospital

CBS/AP/ June 23, 2017, 9:38 PM

Matt Mika, a former congressional staffer who was injured in last week's shooting at a baseball practice in Alexandria, was released Friday from the hospital, his family and George Washington Hospital said.

Mika, now a lobbyist for Tyson Foods, was shot multiple times in the chest and arm. Also shot in the attack were U.S. Rep. Steve Scalise, two U.S. Capitol Police officers and a congressional aide. Crystal Griner, one of the Capitol police officers injured, was also released from the hospital Friday.

It makes me wonder. Multiple bullet wounds to the chest. That seems very serious. If the damage done to Scalise and Matt were switched, would Matt still be in hospital and Scalise been sent home early?

The gods or God reminds humans in any circumstance or perspective TO HELP EACH OTHER!

Reminds us not to be so dam selfish and greedy and only help the rich and powerful

The poor and downtrodden are God's or the gods special case for more fortunate humans TO HELP...

Its not nuclear physics or super sainthood just basic ordinary human decency and goodness to aid the needy and those who cant afford health insurance as well can't afford many things most of us can have.

I’m here in the middle of trying to be a good guy through this OP and trying to feel charitable and all cumbaya for a change and out of nowhere I get a weird phone call from a lady I never heard of on my business phone that rarely goes off and she’s a breast cancer fundraiser asking for a few bucks!

If it's United Breast Cancer Foundation, then yeah, I sent them money. Then I looked them up to see where most of the money goes.

Grants to people to stay in temporary lodging, which is required when a patient has to travel a long distance to be treated, out of town, or out of state. Some hospitals even have such lodgings on their campus'. I know people who stayed in such lodgings. It isn't free.

I don't think so most christians work for a living, and although they aren't against helping someone, when it starts taking food and medical care from them by high premiums,or fined for not partaking, this was a form of forced socialism, socialism doesn't believe in religion just like communism,so your statement kind of cancels that out, once again teach a man to fish, don't just keep feeding him

I have my preferred spiritual practices, which I rarely advertise, but they are non-sectarian.

The god association with charity I use to advocate helping the needy but am not a religious sectarian. Atheists, I would hope care enough to at least do the basics and many of them do.

Health insurance exists because the health care system the politicians refuse to control, so the pricing is out of control.

I agree with your idea of self-help, of course, but in the health industry everybody but millionaires and billionaires needs insurance--the self-help principle is therefore really not applicable to this issue.

Though I'm still attempting to figure out the "Christians" who can be selfish, clannish and elitist ... it does not compute

Not all Christians are the same. Some read and do. Some live what they read. Some don't.

James 1:22 But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves. 23For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror; 24for he sees himself, and goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25But he who looks into the perfect law of freedom, and continues, not being a hearer who forgets, but a doer of the work, this man will be blessed in what he does.

26If anyone among you thinks himself to be religious while he doesn't bridle his tongue, but deceives his heart, this man's religion is worthless. 27Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.

In most uses of the word World, in the Christian writings is meant "the quest or obsession to wealth, power, and strife".

Edit to Add:

Some preachers probably neglect to explain to their congregations that Jesus (a rather iconic figure in Christianity) pretty much said that it is not a sin to pay taxes.
