Slowly but surely the big ball of manure that's rapped around Fusion, Steele and Johnny Mac is coming out into the light of day.
(Court docs are embedded in the link)

he British court document also confirmed that Washington research firm Fusion GPS, co-founded by former Wall Street Journal reporter Glenn Simpson, had been hired to conduct opposition research by one of Trump’s GOP primary opponents. Later, Democrats paid for the same research on Trump’s past and alleged Russian ties.

Fusion GPS contracted with Steele, who had once worked as an undercover spy in Moscow. The court document lifted a veil on Washington’s inner workings, with Steele laying out how Fusion briefed select reporters on the material for which it and Steele had been paid to gather.

“The journalists initially briefed at the end of September 2016 by the Second Defendant (Steele) and Fusion at Fusion’s instruction were from the New York Times, the Washington Post, Yahoo News, the New Yorker and CNN,” Steele’s lawyers said, adding that he “verbally and in person” briefed the first three organizations in mid-October and a reporter from Mother Jones via Skype.

The funny part is Steele's "sources" were "high level Kremlin officials". But that doesn't count as Russian collusion to the fools still chasing that rabbit.

McCain obtained the document and then gave it to the FBI, as should have been done given the source was considered credible to some degree.

You do know that Steele is British and not American?

Yes. So? He was hired by an American company, Fusion GPS, which was hired by the Democrats.

Irrelevant. He's a foreign national.

Exactly. We are witnessing hypocrisy at the high levels.

That's the hilarious part. Anti-Trumpers are trying to stretch a campaign finance law to say that Trump Jr. was seeking "something of value." (This being the only law that even sorta-maybe-kinda might apply.) But we know for a fact that the Democrats did the same thing. We can even subpoena FusionGPS to put an exact dollar value on what the Democrats received from foreign sources (Russian/Ukrainian, via the UK).

It's like an old Looney Tunes cartoon, where Daffy Duck is sawing off a tree branch, not realizing that he's standing on the same branch

Yes, which is part of the irony.

The Democrats hire a firm who hires a foreign national to do opposition research and that foreign national taps official sources linked to the very same domestic enemy you people have been ranting and raving about influencing our sacred election for months.

But no foreigners were involved in your decision making process ... none at all. You pay not attention to information provided to you by foreign sources.

If getting information from foreign sources is collusion then how are the Democrats not guilty since they got the information from foreign sources.

The Russian lawyer who penetrated Donald Trump’s inner circle was initially cleared into the United States by the Justice Department under “extraordinary circumstances” before she embarked on a lobbying campaign last year that ensnared the president’s eldest son, members of Congress, journalists and State Department officials, according to court and Justice Department documents and interviews.

This revelation means it was the Obama Justice Department that enabled the newest and most intriguing figure in the Russia-Trump investigation to enter the country without a visa.

Just five days after meeting in June 2016 at Trump Tower with Trump Jr., Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner and then-Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, Moscow attorney Natalia Veselnitskaya showed up in Washington in the front row of a House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing on Russia policy, video footage of the hearing shows.

She also engaged in a pro-Russia lobbying campaign and attended an event at the Newseum in Washington, D.C., where Russian supporters showed a movie that challenged the underpinnings of the U.S. human rights law known as the Magnitsky Act, which Russian President Vladimir Putin has reviled and tried to reverse.

I wonder if McCian will be conveniently unable to testify.
He already caused the HealthCare vote to be put off.

Christopher Steele, the former British spy who wrote the infamous anti-Donald Trump dossier, acknowledges that a sensational charge his sources made about a tech company CEO and Democratic Party hacking is unverified.

In a court filing, Mr. Steele also says his accusations against the president and his aides about a supposed Russian hacking conspiracy were never supposed to be made public, much less posted in full on a website for the world to see on Jan. 10.

He defends himself by saying he was betrayed by his client and that he followed proper internal channels by giving the dossier to Sen. John McCain, Arizona Republican, to alert the U.S. government.

So under oath, Steele says the dossier was unverified!

Nice!

Appears this dossier is going to end the entire Russian narrative at this point.

McCain even seems to be distancing himself from it which should be really fun to watch his backpedaling when questioned....if he doesn't die or claim to I'll to do so prior to.
