Exactly, that's the main issue. According to the courts, she killed him with a text message. It's a severe overreach that will have dire implications on future cases and free speech.

I agree. I think there was a mistake by the DA in over-charging and by her attorney by opting out of a jury trial. Either way I think it will be over turned on appeal.

At a minimum I would suspect her sentencing to be drastically reduced, if not overturned entirely. I can't see this making it through an appeals process and being fully upheld.

I think you're right..most certainly she'd done better via jury, and also a good chance it could be overturned.
