I've always said IF it were actually possible, i would love to have a seal as a pet

They're amazingly cute critters, almost like swimming puppies...

I don't understand how people can kill these guys, let alone even harm one... i am repulsed by the very notion

I wanted to share this video because i think i would really love to swim with seals one day... just for the experience



And while we're on the topic... I must show you what they're capable of

Seals or so cute!

It's sad that people kill seals even today for their skins and fur. I can understand some far northern native tribes who need seals to live in their harsh environments but those who kill just for furs or out of plain meanness make me sick to my stomach!

Sea otters are also pretty cool when you are diving, they can get very playful as well.

lets not downplay the dangers of full grown seals. They can cause property damage and bodily harm.

Though i understand they are a necessary food source for some people

I just wouldn't put myself in a situation where that would be necessary...

Or in a situation where i'd have to kill anything for that matter... unless absolutely necessary

Cute interaction with that seal. I always found seals to be cute and they always reminded me of dogs with fins. They seem to like having their belly rub just like dogs and puppies do!

Had a big black shadow shoot under my board one fine spring morning. Nearly peed in me wetsuit, turned around to see a seal emerge from the water blowing it's nostrils and staring at me with its big round eyes
