We have seen an up and down economy many times.. and we will see it many more times... the world is still not destroyed.

Nukes have been pointed at other countries longer than I have been alive...

Actually I am not sitting all that comfy me and the wife are coming up on a time of change... still not going to scream and cry about it... make plans adapt as needed and push on through to reach where we want to be.

The powers that be do not care about you, or me.. they have not done 1 thing for us, in fact you can argue they have been making things worse at least in my life time, arguably longer.

Freaking out over Trump is a waste of time, and energy.. if you are truly concerned either get active in politics, or plan for a collapse so you are not caught off guard... but screaming the sky is falling before it is just a waste of time.

Yes this is the America I fought for... and it has nothing to do with the guy occupying the big boy chair in DC, I swore to protect and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic and will continue to do so till I am dead and buried.

Once I am back stateside I will continue to fight for the American dream because I believe it is not dead just harder to achieve.

Crying about inadequacies will only hinder your ability to achieve your dreams, doing something will help you achieve your dreams.

No, those who vote Republican could have given America a better choice than Donald Trump. Screw Hillary, but FFFF Donald Trump.

Jesus, conservatives were conned by a con man. Of all the Republican choices these people gave us Trump. Thanks guys....

Could have been Ted Cruz... Cant imagine hed be any better. Unfortunately nobody voted for Rand Paul, the sane one.

Riiiiiiiight and you wouldn't be complaining about Cruz, Rubio, Carson, Fiorina, Santorum, Huckabee, Jindal, Walker or Perry right now.

A portion of America elected a silver spoon sexual assaulting thin skinned reality tv personality as their president, what could possibly go wrong?

Love the description.

Seeing the rest of the world uniting against the US because of an amateur in charge, who hasn't a clue what he is doing is like watching a Michael Bay movie.

What's gonna blow up next.

"The rest of the world"?

I don't know, but I'm glad I never had children to witness this particular brand of BS.

Those of you with kids...hold them tight.

I'm glad when your kind doesn't reproduce too.

I am glad I didn't breastfeed for too long, I am very proud to have raised two hard working Americans that now support the economy and hold steady jobs.

They are living the American dream with no problem at all.

People need to get a grip on reality Deny Arrogance, unbelievable.

We survived Bush, we survived Obama, we will survive Trump. Doom porn is more addicting than actual porn, to some people.

Well if you have any children, I hope they prosper and have a wonderful life. And I wish you all the best as well!

And what exactly is "my kind"?

The dream is dead when hope is gone. I have been here 66years and I have not felt this unsafe and threatened since the 50's. You have been trained to pacify.

Hope is never gone until the people give up on it...

We have survived bad times in this country before... maybe Trump ends up the worst president of all time.. .maybe not.

Either way, we will survive it... his presidency even if he goes 8 years is a blip on the time line of our nation, as long as the people do not give up the dream is not dead.

"Will we survive the Trump presidency"

Depends, who exactly are 'we'?

Cause I'd guess not everyone('we') will survive Trump, well maybe, guess it would depend on what countries 'we' are living in.

No... youre really NOT going to survive this. Its THE END. Its over.. game over, man. GAME OVER! If I were you Id start lining up at cliffs edge and jumping. Just close your eyes and take a step. We will sing songs in your memory.. list your names off : the people who made this country so much better all due to their leap....

To be such an optimist you must be sitting pretty. So Trump's promises of jobs don't mean much to you. The coal miners and rural counties believed he would help. They don't have four years to wait and pay for more wars. It's hopeless.

Actually I am unemployed and the wife is paying all the bills at this moment, and I will probably not get employed for another year. So while I have been unemployed over here in Europe I have been working on my degree expanding my skill set so I am more marketable when we get back to the states.

I refuse to sit still and demand you (the Fed) give me a job... if I cannot find employment with my current skill set it is time to expand my skills and seek new employment.

Excuse me? You would rather live off your wife?

I don't think trump was talking to europeans when he promised American counties jobs.

Wife is active duty military...

and It is not living off of...we made a choice when we got married since I was active duty at the time, she enjoyed her work at the time more than I enjoyed mine and since the military would not let us be at the same base I left active duty.

We made another choice a few years later when she got orders to germany, since our debt was low, rather than live 5000 miles apart I would come with her, since the base she was going to had few jobs for foreigners we knew going in I would be unemployed for that length of time... why because we are better people when together.

Also Trump is not going to give me a farking thing, I make my way in the world and have taken this time to better my skill set so that when we return to the US I can fill a need, since the wife will be leaving the military I will take up the duties of paying the bills.

Always nice to chat with the non-judgmental left.
