I would describe how I really feel about this, but I'd break the T&C in so many ways it isn't funny.

Brigadier General Robert Lewis was fired from his position as Defense Sec. Ash Carter’s senior military advisor at the end of 2015. He was found to have put $3,000 in charges at multiple strip clubs on his DoD credit card. He claimed he didn't know his actions were wrong, but after a year the IG said he was full of crap. That report was turned in back in October of last year.

In addition to the strip clubs, the IG investigated multiple allegations of sexual harassment by female subordinates. One claimed that while on a trip to California, he asked her to come to his room and brief him on something. When she arrived, he was only wearing a pair of gym shorts. Another said that while on a trip to Hawaii, he tried to kiss her and she had to physically ward him off.

In February of this year, the Army reduced his rank by one star. So now, because he's reduced to Brigadier General, he only gets an $80,000 a year pension after taxes. In addition, he gets to keep his security clearance, which guarantees that he'll be able to get a nice cushy position as a contractor after he retires.

So... drain the swamp?

One thing you left out of your OP was what your suggestion would be to remedy all of this blatant corruption within the military.

Not to mention how all those girls going to afford college without having strip clubs to work in ?

That's because I was too pissed off about this crap. It's been going on for decades, but this is so blatant it's pathetic. The only way to fix it is to completely eliminate the Societies. Down to the last man. I don't care how good they are, gut every last one of them.

As long as we have Societies in the military, anyone that has rank or came through an Academy is protected regardless of what they do. Anyone else, would be out of the military and in Leavenworth so fast they wouldn't have time for their heads to spin.

Yes, as a former Cpl of the USMC I think it's disgusting that he gets away with this and isn't stripped of his stars and made an example of. Disgusting, he is supposed to be a leader for all his troops. Now he is trash.

What would be the best and most effective method of eliminating the societies?

The General needs to be punished more severely, so other military leaders won't abuse women and taxpayer funds.

Im disgusted, but not shocked. Due to being around,in,married, to mil and DoD etc.. from early life, there are "untouchables". Like I said, disgusted, not shocked.

That's going to take action on the part of the Secretaries. SecArmy needs to hammer this guys ass to the wall to start with. Then they need to spread the word that this type of crap is unacceptable for any rank.

SecDef is going to have to take some kind of action as well to end them. Until they do it will be business as usual.

I'm not either. I knew they'd work to protect him, but I didn't think they'd be this blatant about it.

If this had been a junior officer, or a senior NCO, or anyone else not in a position of power he'd have been dishonorably discharged.

And people wonder why troops don't take all that SHARP bull# seriously.

Instead they just get student "loans" (wink) they have no intention of paying back.

In other words, you pay for it.

And then compete with them in the job market.

Sounds familiar, where have I seen this before?

Corruption is rampant.

It's difficult to complain about General Grab Booby while Trump is removing health care from most of the poor and a good part of the middle class. Otherwise, I might have strong words for him.

I just can;t think of worse words at the moment.

Something needs to be done no doubt... did you see the USAF Col that got popped with child porn on his PC as well as classified material... got 1 year in jail... that is it.

I knew people when I first came in back in '97 that did similar (using American express at a strip club, yes that used to be our govt. credit card) that received harsher punishments than this general.

Why do you insist on trying to slip your Trump obsession into every thread?
Too bad this happened under Obama. But you've already shown you're too partisan to hold a rational thought.
