Air Canada said on their official twitter:

We confirm we have no record of a passenger by the name Esteban Santiago, or checked guns, on any of our flights to Fort Lauderdale #FLL 5/5

He doesn't look Hispanic.

His full name is Esteban Santiago Ruiz. Anyone else wanna try to find his digital foot print?

He had an active duty Army ID and a concealed carry permit.
With the Airline saying he was not on the plane, and no checked gun was processed at anytime the flight had left Alaska or Canada, they are speculating he walked into baggage claim with the bag. He may have already been in Florida.

His criminal background from 2011-2012 includes being investigated for Child Porn, but not enough evidence to be prosecuted.

And not fresh off Air Canada, though the other carrier would have been nice to know because the diehard CTers are going to spin the s# out of it.

Some reports said he traveled through Canada, but ABC News is now reporting he went from Anchorage through Minneapolis to Fort Lauderdale.

What if something happened on the plane...a confrontation or something...and he snapped!
Perhaps the people he shot baggage claim were on the plane with him.

Media reporting on hate crimes against whites, hispanic guys in mass shootings. As the administration changes, so does the narrative.

I'm watching this on tv, it may as well be a military occupation of some third world country.

The "I'm not Jewish" thing was reported on NBC. It was mentioned in this post. The video is now DOA. Well, that's convenient.

The initial narrative of actual eyewitnesses almost always seems to change significantly. Not just talking about reporters, but the actual eyewitness accounts disappear by the time the main evening news comes on. Par for the course.

Which is basically how the real world works..

Do you have any idea how difficult it would be to get hold of a fake id that could pass muster at an airport? very bloody difficult indeed, they are all chipped now and watermarked, almost impossible i would say

Piffle. Very few drivers licenses are chipped. You have to ask for one and live in a border state.

What's tricky are the holograms and the UV marks. However, few TSA screeners know what other states' licenses look like in detail. So if you showed up with a license from the other side of the country, they don't know exactly what's supposed to be on there.

Some airports scan the bar code on your license and the TSA guy looks to see if the names match.

You can, however, obtain a license forgery with a valid bar code, the proper UV marks and the right holograms. The bar code will match the name.

A really good DL that passes muster costs major coin though. And you have to go on a trip to get one - I'm pretty sure they don't do it online. At least they didn't back when. But for a few thousand bucks and some of your time, you can get a really standout drivers license that will pass the TSA checks. And they can make you some other handy stuff for more money - back when, they could make you a college ID for a number of major schools, a Fedex ID, UPS IDs, some other touchier things for correspondingly higher fees.

These guys had at one time worked for CIA doing ID forgery, then moved to a country with no reciprocity and set up shop for an income stream. They were famous amongst the contractually employed post-military crowd.

That's what I was thinking. He wasn't planning to fly to Ft. Lauderdale to shoot people, but something pissed him off on the plane...

How is a wall going to stop something like this?

It sounds like the gun may have been waiting in the bathroom like Michael Corleone. Air Canada has no record of an Esteban Santiago on a flight and they have no record of checking a gun to Ft. Lauderdale.

It appears he never boarded an Air Canada flight.

Alaska to Minneapolis, then on to Florida.

I'm not terribly surprised, but it is worrisome that they would go from helping the "good guys" to doing that which directly oppose that previous work.

The Gov of Florida said he contacted Trump and Pence, but has not contacted Obama.

Very odd.

Edit: It is even confusing the Fox News talking heads.

It sounds like he might have PTSD.
Being in close quarters with people (airplane) can set it off.

Yes he does.

Also, if he was honorably discharged four months ago, why would he claim to the FBI that the military was trying to make him watch ISIS stuff two months ago? Maybe he just THOUGHT they were military.

Or simply fake ID. These days having an Arabic name with a gun in check (if that is what happened) would possibly raise eyebrows, so why not a fake ID, make it military, and use a Hispanic name?

I missed this the first time around til Bedlam quoted you.

Easy, bloody easy, actually. You're not American judging by the slang there. I'm in a border state and my ID is not chipped. Like Bed says, you request it. I didn't request a chipped ID. End of BS foreigner assumption.
