It may appear that the U.S. presidential election doesn't concern you, but WW3 could soon erupt if the wrong candidate gets elected (Hint: Hillary). Don't you think that alone should be reason enough for the entire world to be following the election closely?

WW3 has been looming over our shoulders since the ending of WW2.

If we assumed every new US President elect was going to flex their military might around the planet causing chaos and pandemonium, we'd all be overdosing ourselves on Zoloft cocktails 24/7 going all the way back to Franklin D. Roosevelt.

I rarely visit or post anymore due to this reason.

The thing is it doesn't even matter whether Trump or Hillary wins, do you really think that the powers that be would let them make independent decisions? They would both be puppets, just like every president America has had since JFK. Look at Obama for example, remember all his empty campaign promises? I will admit that Trump is probably the first guy to come along since JFK that may not play by the rulebook, hence the media onslaught against him.

The entire election process in America is a farce.

Now I'm off to find something more substantial to read other that Trump V Hillary threads.

If ATS wanted to restrict political talk, they could remove the forums that discuss these topics. They haven't done that, therefore they must want them to stay. Your choice is to come here and avoid them by favoring and posting on the forum topics of your choice, to stay away, or to come here anyway and bitch.

I think I'm going to give ATS a rest for a couple of weeks until the election is over.

That won't help. It'll be worse when you get back.

The only real hope that we have is to produce threads that are so stunningly interesting and weird that the elections no longer matter.

I'm trying to think of stuff now.



P.S. And those threads don't have to go up before the election. It's going to get worse afterwards anyway. I would say a two-week window should suffice.

I dont think following it is going to make a blind bit of difference.

Both candidates are batsh1t crazy and will make huge uturn on any really big promises they have made. The media pretty much has the final say on how they get seen in the publics eyes.

Its not even entertaining. The whole thing is a total farce, its quite painful to watch. Wasting energy arguing about who's the best on a site like ATS is a total waste of time because its not going to make any difference to the outcome. Politics is just theater for the masses not that there seems to be any real politics going on in this election. Its nothing more than a really bad reality TV show that somehow seems to be on every channel 24/7. Its like a really long series of big broth but with only two people in the house and quite frankly i was bored to tears with it on week two.

Theres a whole world of crazy stuff going out there but people just only seem to want to be interested in whats going on in their own back yard these days.

I feel ya......I rather enjoy the banter between team-George Soros & team-deplorable, it's good to be reminded in every thread how bad Hillikileaks is and how Trump is an orange racist.

I love it here.

The election is probably the biggest event for all the people of the Earth since the moon landings.
I am not surprised it's taken over ATS. It is not an American only event. The outcome will effect the whole world and the revelations during the past year have given proof to countless conspiracy theories. We know for sure now that a shadow govt rules the world and that politics from top to bottom is totally corrupt.

Where we go from here is up to us.
