NFL pick em thread

It is that time of year again. We all come together and battle head to head to pick our teams, bash and belittle our opponents all for the glory of some mundane trophy (yet to be picked) and the honor of thread Champion at the end of the season.

I believe Intrepid was last seasons champ after being neck and neck with Sremmos80.

I noticed last season with games every Thursday it became common to pick thursdays game only and pick the rest afterwards. That worked out pretty well for me and others so that can continue to be fine and acceptable, Just include that game with the rest of your picks or it will probably get missed in the count.

Anybody and everybody is free to pick but I learned the hard way that missing one week pretty much puts you out of the running unless something crazy happens.

Many will start, few will finish

Tinner, great. And thanks! When is the drop-dead date for submitting pics?


ETA: There are a few teams that are still waffling on their QBs, and as we saw with Bridgewater, your leg can literally come apart during no-contact practice. There may be another team that trades at the last minute like the Vikes (gave up the farm for Sam Bradford yesterday) and my pics would be impacted. Btw, I really feel for Bridgewater, the Vikings will be fine, but from my understanding his leg was hanging on by an artery, nerve, and what remained of his connective tissue. Get better and come back stronger (doesn't sound possible but I think he's a good kid [I'm a child of the 80's and me calling him a kid = wow, I'm getting old, relatively]), Teddy!

for the trophy??? I don't care... the day before the last game.... or picks? before the game starts... totally on the honor system. I am not going to check post times as some members are in other time zones and such. Think we had an issue with that last year

Thing is that I do this more for fun that for anything serious. I'm not an NFL person honestly. I'd be much more embarrassed if we were picking college, and I flopped so hard. I actually do take the time to study some of the college teams where I only take passing glances at the NFL and have the games on in the background.

The only weeks I ever did well, I picked teams based solely on which ones had KSU alums on their roster. That was two seasons ago, not last season.

Yes, of course, the NFL game picks; moreover, if the picks had to be submitted as a whole or before individual game start times. I'd give you credit for the 'joke' piggy-backing off "pics" of the trophy, but it was lame, and if you're going to referee grammar it should, at least, be funny. It's an honor system. Cool. Picks will be in before individual game start times.
