I think the term "neo-hippie" fits better. I'm not quite enough of a mainstream hater to be a hipster though.

That's fine. No man bun, beard wearing hipster allowed, we have enough of those in Brooklyn, it's like an infestation.

Their so hip it's unhip.

Lol. I do have a beard though. It can be anywhere between a full on hippie beard to clean cut though. No weird hipster beards there either. Best hipster haircut I ever saw though was in a bar in our hipster section of Baltimore. It was a Rasta Mullet. Business in the front, RASTA in the back. Check it out:

If Kali had gone straight to the police none of this ever would have happened.

LOL!! I saw you were on here, and I have to admit, I would have expected to see the face in your avatar!! Isn't that funny?

I don't think Gus will look much like his.

Could you pick us both up?

Kali - PM me with your itinerary....we could fly in together from somewhere? Or at least arrive at the same time-ish?

I just thought that was how you'd look - I have that picture in my head that it's you. !!!!

I don't mind picking you up either. I could even pick one more person up. Though I think it would get a little crowded in my Corolla if I picked up a 4th.

You're the best!

This is reminding me of the only other internet meetup I've been on - and that was in 1996....

I went to Norway by myself, met up with my two internet pals in Oslo - we went camping, then I took the scenic train to Bergen, where another internet pal met me and I crashed at his place - the next day we rode warmbloods through the streets of Bergen, and took the Funicular to the top of the mountain/bluff thing....we also went up to his family's farm, high above Bergen, an ancient sheep-farm with rock fences and a house hundreds of years old. then I took the boat/ferry down the western fjords and met up with yet another internet friend (this one not affiliated with the other three, who were all horse-owner-forum members with me). I stayed at his family's home for the last two nights, got on a train, and went back to Oslo to fly home. That was a momentous trip indeed.

20 years ago.....hard to believe!

Okay, dear....I'm not sure I can go either, but I'd like to make a tentative plan anyway.....see my above reminiscence. I am ALWAYS up for an adventure - as long as there's someone at each end who knows and is expecting me.....
