If that's how it works, after some wait, legit posts were able tio get through. That seems to be what you described. An attack occurs, after a wait, normal posts get through.

To where? I have seen poeple note 3 places as to where ATS servers are. not noting, but nothing on Norse looks like that.

I seriously doubt ATS is making use of telnet, but it could be to an upstream though most modern switches are using SSH vs telnet now. Telnet would basically be targeting legacy gear.

There are a wide variety of attacks occurring. Just wondering how it all affects the backbone.

I'd be interested to know at what bandwidth rates these attacks are occurring that we see on the norse map. When we're talking "backbone" in 2016 we're generally dealing with 40gbps and up, with the newest largest interconnects going into the multiple tbps range. Most of these attacks aren't saturating backbones, rather saturation is hit well downstream at individual servers, or edge routers.

Been watching Fireeye and Norse. There has and still is something going on right here in the US
