Happy Easter! 2016

Just finished eating part of a pig that had been marinating for days in juices from tropical fruits.

Coupled with the pig was vegetables and to complete the repast, eggs were eaten to symbolically show our dominance over fertility.

Later we will dine on chocolate that is shaped into the form of rodents.

That's great! For us, our oldest son decided to come into town.

Easter Monday morning here at the moment! But we spent the weekend eating prawns (Aussie tradition! don't you know!) eating chocolate in the form of eggs and rabbits. And I'm looking forward to going to the mall tomorrow and buying all the leftover half price chocolate!

My son had a total of 5 chocolate eggs, went insane, wouldn't have a nap, and almost didn't sleep last night. The dark side is strong with him.

Nothing too exciting to report here.
It was cloudy and overcast all day so...
no outside activities really.
My daughters got their baskets of chocolates.
I gave my oldest daughter an undercut that she had been requesting (it's a hairstyle).
The youngest has left with her beau on an adventure.
The old man is watching UT ladies basketball get skunked by Syracuse.
I'm on the interwebs, as usual, trying to satisfy my thirst for knowledge and all things 'different'.
Current project is attempting to figure out a way to locate the owners of a book that I happen to come into possession of 100 years ago or so (LOL).
Normally, it wouldn't be something that I would care about but, it is engraved with the person's name so...
it must have been important once so perhaps it would be important to their family to have it back.

We don't do Easter at all, but this year, my husband decided to put together baskets for the kids. They got cotton candy, bunny head chocolate on a stick, sour knock-off peeps, marshmallow "lollipops", and a watercolor painting book & paints. I think we did this because my husband couldn't say no to the chocolate bunny cake we walked by in the bakery the other day and just haaaad to get it.

Otherwise, it was a nice day here (topped out at 69) and we spent a good deal of it outside.

Had too.
We did Easter on Saturday. The little ones were running all over the place.

we are having a big turkey dinner for easter tomorrow and i cant wait!

We're currently stuffed, the oldest is painting, the wife is on Facebook and the youngest and I have "Up" on the tv just relaxing. (it's his favorite movie)

I'm waiting for the sale on easter goodies to hit the stores tomorrow so I can load up on Cadbury Creme Eggs.

I practically inhale those delectable little suckers.

I have to dismember the obligatory chocolate rodent today. The wife gets a white chocolate bunny and she is currently eviscerating it.
