We have bad people misusing a tool.

The tool is capitalism.

Just replacing the tool and NOT replacing the bad people will lead to further ruin.

imho

Odd photo to use considering Sean Bean is a supporter of Old Labour, Tony Benn and Jeremy Corbyn. Politics further to the left than Sanders!

Well what I'm saying is it goes beyond that.

We need to be looking at replacing fiat currency.

An economy that uses fiat currency isn't capitalism. I don't know what it is, but it's not capitalism.

Just another common garden variety NEOCON troll. Man...you spent a lot of time with this thread. Actually, it appears to be the result of the Republican war room. So, you figured you're rant was something we all should see. And apparently ATS is the forum for you're venom. Are you getting paid or is this something you felt was necessary as a "real" American? Look dude, if i wished to hear this B/S i would watch FOX News. In fact, crap like this is is scheduled for mass mind control till Nov. It is, as we all know, will be blared from loud speakers and bright lights from MSM that will rival the treatment program suffered by the Branch Dividians yet you thought we need to be exposed to it here on ATS.

Also, at a time when conspiracy theorists of yesteryear are proven correct, the same ole war slogans of the GOP for the past forty years no longer has it's luster. We've been spoon fed this vile crap since Reagan. While realizing the net effects of "current events" you'd figure you'd been played. Despite all the "assurances" and "promises" from the GOP America stands as another third country nation. The list of national statistics proves the point and the sobering facts speaks volumes. Before you read you're script, I'll beat you to the point by saying all of our ills "DID NOT" materialize within the past few years and the mentality of the conservatives right proven to be disastrous to the country. You, as we, are victims of a criminal political machine that renders all citizens as slaves.

It was the plan by both political parties and the GOP success of brainwashing people like you has a lot to do with our current situation. You bought the pie in the sky sermon yet I'm the latest person to tell you you've been played. Also, I know for a fact you were warned over the years by people smarter than you. But like the Brown Shirt movement in Germany you neglected to think for yourself. As a Wall St. sycophant you stand naked before a critical audience.

Now, to the point. Is Bernie a socialists? I don't know nor do i care. What i do care about is erasing all the damage and bad policies from America's score card. Do us all a favor...get past the right vs left b/s and leave the GOP lame platitudes out in the hall.

All it will take is a breakthrough with fusion (which is going to happen within the next 5 years if you believe lockheed) or a push into space mineing and everything our current model is based around becomes useless.

You said it.

The future of mankind lies in rocket engineering not social engineering.

Yes, you and olaru hit the nail on the head, fiat currency is not sound money.

Keynesian economics can only do the damage that it has with a central bank and fiat currency.

We do not not have a free market, we have interventionism which inescapably leads to socialism.

We really need to look at makeing energy as a currency.

Energy is the core of every form of production.

Tying everything to the energy value of it's production would tie things to there true worth.

I would say the tool is the government, eliminating (or severely reducing) the tool disarms the bad people so they can't cause the harm that they do.

It is the purveyors of the interventionist policies which cause the problems who then point to the damage that their policies just caused as justification for more intervention.

Value is a very subjective thing.

Commodity based currency (preferably gold for a variety of reasons) is best because it is not counterfeitible and always maintains some intrinsic value, though it does fluctuate.

The primary argument from fiat currency advocates is that there isn't enough gold. Bunk, I say.

It is the interventionists who promote the myth that inflation is good and deflation is bad.

Well that would be the advantage of energy.

It's fixed. The laws of physics stop it being manipulated or counter fitted.

It's natures currency and the universes and really all currency's to day are just a poor ( and corrupt able) abstracted version of it.

And you can't cheat it. Even the most socialist of socialist can't escape it.

While energy is conserved in the universe, its form is constantly in a state of transference.

You could use oil as a currency for instance but, there are obvious caveats in doing so.

It's important to point out that the two economic options are markets and the absence of markets, interventionism attempts to bridge the two but inevitably leads to the destruction of markets so it can't be a sustainable system.

True.

Ultimately, the issue is to reduce government.

But try telling that to an acolyte of The Beurn!

That kind of irony is lost on people who rely on memes to support their arguments.

Yet nothing but another thread of someone who claims to be enlightened, yet wants to ignore the facts about Sanders...

All you offer are nothing but insults, and NOT ONCE did you even touch any subjects from the thread... Instead your whole argument is to try to attack the messenger...

If anyone is a shill and a troll, are those people who simply insult the messenger and do not offer any reasonable counter-argument.

Sanders is not a person of the people, he is a person of the elites, the Rockefellers endorse everything Sanders is claiming America needs...

Bernie wants to deny Americans the right to defend themselves.

Bernie wants to deny Americans the right to private property/land

Bernie wants to control the Fed to control the economy.

Bernie wants to control businesses, so he and his buddies, which he would be able to nominate to run the Fed can control businesses in the U.S.

Bernie, as a true socialist, is a control freak.

Spare me the inane rhetorical BS, and instead of trying to attack the messenger, formulate an intelligent argument. If you can't, as you have shown with your response, then you really have no reason to respond in this thread.

Neither do I work for wall street, nor the GOP...

All I posted were facts, straight out of Bernie's mouth... Yet you want to claim this is false, or that you don't care and you simply want to endorse him?... Ignorance is bliss isn't?... At least in your case it seems to be...

Actually that transference is what I think of as a strength.

If in the future 75% of traditional jobs in a economy we have now will gone then a a new way to create and and pay jobs will be needed.

The point of a 100% energy dependent economy is that jobs will center around transferring engery into useful energy.
Very easy to do and one could Easly make enough to at least cover there food production costs.

Plus it's a economy were you only get the effort you put in.

Put in useful energy you take out.

Here is another way to look at socailism.

The commidization of oneself.

The collective owns you, and your labor.

The complete antithesis of freedom.

The epitome of indentured servitude.

Time for a musical interlude:

LYRICS:
PLEASE READ:

Hearts are worn in these dark ages
You're not alone in this story's pages
The light has fallen amongst the living and the dying
And I'll try to hold it in, yeah I'll try to hold it in

The world's on fire and
It's more than I can handle
I'll tap into the water
(Try and bring my share)
I try to bring more
More than I can handle
(Bring it to the table)
Bring what I am able

I watch the heavens but I find no calling
Something I can do to change what's coming
Stay close to me while the sky is falling
Don't wanna be left alone, don't wanna be alone

Hearts break, hearts mend
Love still hurts
Visions clash, planes crash
Still there's talk of
Saving souls, still the cold
Is closing in on us

We part the veil on our killer sun
Stray from the straight line on this short run
The more we take, the less we become
The fortune of one man means less for some

Please, everybody, take a deep breath and watch this........
or at least read the lyrics.

Pease.

The world's on fire and
It's more than I can handle
I'll tap into the water (Try and bring my share)
I try to bring more More than I can handle
(Bring it to the table)
Bring what I am able

Or.....no?

Here, at least this:

We part the veil on our killer sun

Stray from the straight line on this short run

The more we take, the less we become

The fortune of one man means less for some

PLEASE, just watch it, and say what you think about the message.
