I wonder if the Debbie Wasserman Schultz thing has anything to do with that. Hillary's blatant corruption may actually be biting her in the ass for once. I sure hope so.

Not all of them, of course.
I, for instance vote for very few Democrat candidates.
But as a voting block, many do vote as they are told by the Democrat leadership.
LBJ knew how it worked, and so many Democrats since him also know, they just aren't so vocally arrogant about it.

Yes, it seems that many have grown tired of DWS.
I am happy to see Jeb Bush failing and eagerly await a fail from Hillary. The 2016 election may have some bright spots yet..... as long as we don't see brokered conventions in either party!

This is an interesting poll but not conclusive as to what will happen - there is a long time to a prospective Trump/Clinton battle. We can also see from histiry that polls can things very wrong. I am not sure we'll really have a steer until close to November and the events of 2016 will significantly shape public opinion.

If the election was right now, then I am sure that immigration for example would be a leading issue to swing votes. But what if policy on immigrant inflows are changed before Nov? It would not surprise me to see Obama significantly change Democrat strategy in this regard before election time.

This new survey rings true with me...not because Trump is MY first choice as a Republican, but because so many of my family and friends who have always voted Democrat (some extremely liberal)...now tell me they can't stand Hillary, think the country is a complete mess; on the edge of collapse and say the country needs a strong leader like Trump.

Trump Could Win It All
A new survey shows a sizable number of Democrats ready to defect from Hillary Clinton to Donald Trump.

A new survey of likely voters might at least raise momentary dyspepsia for Democrats since it suggests why it wouldn't be a cakewalk.

The survey by Washington-based Mercury Analytics is a combination online questionnaire and "dial-test" of Trump's first big campaign ad among 916 self-proclaimed "likely voters" (this video shows the ad and the dial test results). It took place primarily Wednesday and Thursday and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percent.

Nearly 20 percent of likely Democratic voters say they'd cross sides and vote for Trump, while a small number, or 14 percent, of Republicans claim they'd vote for Clinton. When those groups were further broken down, a far higher percentage of the crossover Democrats contend they are "100 percent sure" of switching than the Republicans.

Lmao really they dont like hillary so they support trump?? What about Sanders? He is tge only person running that actually cares about the average person. Lol yanks make no sense at all.

Also you can not be liberal and support or even think of supporting Trump. Librals should be against him. Librals want fair and equal treatment for everyone. They also should be smart enough to not vote for some one who bankrupts his buisness 4 times. Not too mention libreals are against racism, and trump clearly supports racism.

No matter how you spell it, some 'Liberals' are actually choosing Trump over Clinton and Sanders.

Then they are not liberal.

I think It means that starting next month, you're going to see Sanders jump up the rankings. He'll get the blue dogs, the millennials and the hard left and most of the minorities. This, I see, as the end of Hillary and that Sanders will get the nomination. Especially, if that percentage of voters just disappears from her poll numbers.

Harder to see, though, is how this effects the general election. I could be wrong, just my analysis.

Who would vote for Commie Sanders? Sanders "why do pennies turn blue, I don't know we must start a committee". He is a hold over from the dinosaur days. Trump went directly to the people and the people are responding in masses.

Sanders is a good guy--commie? LOL

Trump...listen to what he really is saying. It's all soundbytes that appeal to low information voters.

Keep in mind that most of Sanders proposals are just a continuation of what we already have.

We already want the government to fund education he's just saying why not extend that to college. It works in other countries. He's saying single payer health care system. We all want that. It would replace Obama CAre.

No we all don't want the government to fund education, because in reality that is Liberal leftist indoctrination. If people choose to go to college they can fund it their own selves like I and everyone else has.

But we all want K-12 education funded by the Government. I don't have time to homeschool my children. Glad that you do.

I say all, but I realize there is a sizable population of the USA that does want to homeschool their children and or can afford private schools. For the rest of us, which is most of us, like way over 90% of us, we like having the government help with education.

WHY would Dems now want to replace Obamacare? THEY were the only ones who voted for it?

It's not just Dems. it's moderates and independents. Don't forget that Obama campained, twice really, on Healthcare and Health insurance reform. That's what people want. I don't think anyone is really happy with Obama Care, not if they really look at it, most people do want simple affordable insurance though.

Since when do liberals want fair and equal treatment for ANYONE???? No, they want unfair treatment towards those with less, more importantly they want those they give that unfair treatment to, to be thankful to them to it, so they can maintain their power base.

I think Dems are more Socialist than Republicans, but Republicans, seemingly are more okay with Corporate socialism. I could be wrong, but it really seems that way to me.

If you truly think Donald Trump is the right candidate for you, it says a lot more about you than it does about him.

And it makes me weep when I think what America might become under President Trump.

Explain to me exactly what a "a combination online questionnaire and "dial-test" " is....????

Never mind...Found it..

The crossover vote reported by the surveying firm, Mercury Analytics, works both ways. In their estimation, 14 percent of Republicans go for Hillary Clinton.

...

So they showed voters Trump's campaign ad and then asked some questions, apparently. It's really not clear how it worked, and there isn't much data available on the site. The questions are referred to obliquely. There are only isolated bits of data. What's more, the survey was conducted online

...

That survey still has Clinton winning.

Mercury buries this detail a bit, writing that "Hillary Clinton has the edge, but would be facing a very tough competitor." "Has the edge" means "is leading" (though Mercury doesn't say by how much.) What it suggests, though, is that this 20 percent crossover wouldn't make much difference.

Problem with polls is that most conservatives don't answer polls. But they don't vote ether.

The 45%+ that don't vote are majority conservative. Liberals are by definition proactive in politics. I'd be willing to bet that of that 45%, 75% are conservatives. Now if Trump can tap into this he will win in a landslide.

And it is starting to look like these quite groups are starting to wakeup, because they are getting tired of the PC BS.

I think you hit the nail right on the head man.

I honestly think that Trump has no chance in a general election against Clinton or Sanders. If the rumors are true and Sanders is thinking about adding Warren as a running mate, Clinton and the Republicans should be very afraid.

A lot of Democrats I know plan on switching and voting for Trump in the primaries so that they can push him into the party nomination because they know how virtually unelectable he is.
Democrats only have two candidates to choose from and I think most are fine with either - however, Republicans have a handful to choose from and they're all insane.
So, it doesn't matter if Democrats don't vote D in the primaries.

That's a very dangerous tactic to do lest it backfire and you end up actually electing Trump as the President...

I concur that move would be enormously stoopid.
