Ok, can someone confirm this to be real? The website itself says nothing but the picture, and I couldn't track down any more information on the internet because it is too little information. Still, looks like a good case of OOPA.

Here is a question for you. What type of cellular coverage did they have 800 years ago? 4G? 3G? No G?

The link in the op says it was found in Austria. In a TinEye search, the oldest version of the photo brings up a Chinese page claiming the stone was found in Mexico city. www.awaker.hk...

That's a bogus question intended to ridicule the discovery. It ignores the possibility that it was a mobile radio telephone. Not that I believe it is genuine, as I do not know enough about its provenance.

So who gets whom for copyright infringement now, seeing as how the design is the same as a Nokia?

Well, considering it is on a site that also reports about the '10 Most Naughty Animals That Have Been Arrested' I would think its provenance is somewhat dubious.

Its a hoax, firstly the source is not credible as its the type of newspaper where anyone can submit a story and secondly the writing on the phone is Sumerian, I can read Sumerian. The writing is nonsense, most likely added by someone who couldn't read what he was writing. Sumerian fell out of favour around 4400 years ago. So no one was using it 800 years ago

Most likely its being claimed somewhere as an Annunokia.

Of course it is. That's because the possibility is 100% zero. Thanks for being "open minded," though. We shouldn;t really jump to conclusions.

I wonder if they bypassed pagers and went right to cell phones. Or if the cell phones were carved into these smaller rocks after being made from larger rocks that you had to carry around like a bag.

What does it use to communicate information/data, smoke signals perchance?

Maybe thats what the alleged Black Knight satellites function was.

Merry Christmas everyone.

Looks legit to me. Just thrown out all my history books because they are now worthless.
