Fort Hood has had multiple incidents. To my knowledge Kirtland has only had scares.

Local news feed had an interview with the husband of a woman that called him while she was in the center.

He said her description of the shooter was a larger man (heavyset), tactical-style gear and a black mask.

Yes, that's what I was saying...this name was mentioned way back prior to page 10. So, now it makes sense why the name was even brought into the thread.

sorry pal, they are here in spades...a lot live up in the foothills along the Sierra Nevada range, also in the remote counties up in the north of the state. and let's not forget Temecula, palm springs, Salton Sea area, deserts, and san Diego area....remember that California in land size, stretches from New York city, down to Savannah, Georgia. in the central valley there are plenty, they are a little more discreet, but in the "letters to the editor" part of several daily newspapers, they are, ahhh...let's say...expressive.

Found it interesting that on CNN a lady called in (from the school for the blind across the street from the scene) and said "it sounded like an ASSAULT RIFLE to me."

I wouldn't know the difference between the sound of an assault rifle versus any other gun, especially being ACROSS THE STREET, IN A SCHOOL! I'm betting the produce that patched her through to the news desk put that bug in her ear...
