You should be praying to your insect god creator and its children; outnumbers by 2 million separate species that tries to sting or burrow under your skin giving you shared disease causing you ill health (pest/pesky fellows). There is only one that is detrimental to the life of the human as is the Honeybee one proven ideal you should pay more attention to (without pollination) all types of produce cease to exist; and this ecosystem as we think we know it collapses.

Laws were enacted to inform the human "this act upon your fellow beings is against the law'. Goes further than the Ten Commandments IDEAL concept of perfect harmony apparently.

Laws are to confine instincts. You have the universal laws in UN, if you can live life in balance and harmony you dont need laws..
Laws has nothing to do with informing, laws are boundaries..

The virus (acting in inane stupidly) kills its host specie; therefor itself. Unlike a parasite that feeds upon and procreates without killing its host (dinner); not understanding your metaphor other than Viruses are not as smart as Bacteria.
