Beohner's gone because he made too many concessions.

Didn't get anything done.

That's why.

Really hate to put my 2 cents into this.

Goven the fact that the pope was there yesterday and his resignation appeared this morning. I believe the catholics have their hand in everything, being the oldest institution in the worls that is. These politicians are bought off by big corporate day in and day out influencing the american public, lives and income

Yet it must be planned parenthood! Thats important. I see abortion as a real way to distract the real issues. Mostly war

U.s puppet isis coalition that appeared out of nowhere after assad was "claimed/blamed" for gas bombs and other chem warfare

Either way, yeah no conspiracies at all.
Because conspiracies don't exist, they're all fake and exaggerated

Wow people. What has ats become

So they AREN'T trying to defund planned parenthood?

What news are you watching or reading to get such wonderful information.

Between the EMTLA

en.wikipedia.org...

It requires hospital Emergency Departments that accept payments from Medicare to provide an appropriate medical screening examination (MSE) to individuals seeking treatment for a medical condition, regardless of citizenship, legal status, or ability to pay.

Medicaid:

Medicaid in the United States is a social health care program for families and individuals with low income and limited resources. T

And the ACA:

Planned Parenthood does not need to exist.

There are OTHER options.

Beohner's gone because he made too many concessions.

To the bullies?

Didn't get anything done.
Hard to fight off that many people single-handedly.

You could be right!

To the Senate, and the administration.

Republicans are not too happy about what has been going on.

Like the Iran deal.

The Pope's visit.

And a long list of other things.

I know it's highly unlikely -- but perhaps the guy is just tired?

There have been rumors he has a bad drinking problem and he doesn't exactly look that healthy. Maybe he got a really cushy job offer for a consulting firm or think tank, and decided to resign and take it easy?

I know it's unlikely but it could be that simple..?

gasp! you guys!

Maybe he agreed to be the first to exit gracefully, and this is the opening act of a plan with the rest of the senior GOP moderates that once the kids crossed the line, they were gone!

Maybe?

This is such an interesting week for psychological / sociological /anthropological study!

End of the world? Mecca? Pope visit? Boehner? Fascinating, in a sort of 'watching from the outside' way. Of course it's tragic what happened in Mecca. But this is all almost to strange to be real....

like reality nightmare tv.

Doubtful.

Boehners been a career politician. They RARELY ever want to give that up.

Must be some major infighting within the party.

Maybe he's going to run Sanders' campaign and be his lobbyist on Capitol Hill!!

See? I always give people who show any semblance of empathetic or compassionate capacity the benefit of the doubt.

Boehner made me nauseated for a long time.
Now I might be able to stand to see his face.

Maybe he's going to (if he can?) step down and then endorse the Bern as a private donor!!

Well, if I've learned anything in life so far it's that the simplest explanation is usually the correct one, and the most obvious explanation isn't always the simplest one.

So, by that logic there maybe several factors all colliding at once to prompt his resignation. Maybe there are potential scandals that could break, and he wants to head them off. There's nothing wrong with stepping down on a high note before scandal drags you down and forces you too.

Maybe he knows his health isn't awesome, and his spray tans aren't fooling anyone anymore (look at how bleary his eyes always are) ... he might not have the fortitude to fend off any upcoming scandal.

I'm sure he'll find himself a nice consulting job or something ... he's well connected.

Guy looks honestly relieved.

Dana Bash said : "Many would say that a leader with no one following is really just out taking a walk."

Dang.
That's harsh commentary at this exact moment of his presser. Seems more like analysis for later.

I mentioned it just now -- but if you look at his eyes...my goodness, there's not only sorrow and emptiness in them, but they are always bloodshot and bleary. The man looks like he's perpetually hung over. His eyes just don't look right to me, and haven't for a while now.
